  1. Where is the "the White Sox kicked tires on A-Gon before signing Dunn" article? Dunn was KW's #1 target from the get go.
  2. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 03:31 PM) KW is on a roll. If we could re-sign PK and Putz and add another pen arm, I'd be ecstatic. Putz is on his way, and yes I think he will get a chance to close.
  3. QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) There is no such thing as a 4G network in the United States yet... it's all PR and marketing bulls***. Dont open up that can of worms.
  4. Cleveland boos Jim Thome with more rigor than they did to LeBron
  5. Do you think up to this point that the Sox have had more conversation with Konerko or DLee?

Chest and back, chest and back, why do you hurt my neck so...
  7. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 06:30 PM) How many times did a throw pull PK off the base that wouldn't pull Adam Dunn off the base? PK was the second worst fielder on the Sox to Carlos Quentin. However bad his range is though, he is very consistent with balls he can actually get his glove on.
  8. I see lots of folks are jumping on my DLEE bandwagon. Unfortunately it looks like that train may derail.
  9. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 05:14 PM) Hadn't seen this posted. Rosenthal The team, in addition to pursuing Konerko, Dunn and catcher A.J. Pierzynski in free agency, also is in engaging in advanced trade discussions, according to sources. One candidate to move: Right fielder Carlos Quentin, who stands to earn about $5 million in arbitration but is not eligible for free agency until after the 2012 season. The Phillies and Cardinals both have been linked to Quentin in published reports. The White Sox likely are looking for bullpen help — and payroll flexibility. I think we are trading a pitcher. Maybe packaging Q with someone from the rotation.
  10. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 04:30 PM) No, I think it's more that the Sox had a strong desire to get him, probably came at him with like 4/$52 or something (which very well could have been the contract they were going to offer Martinez), and the two sides met in the middle. Any offer the Sox were making in this range was to Dunn and not Vmart. There was never anything offered to Vmart after his price tag was understood.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 05:16 PM) Everything I've heard, and I see what you might be implying, is that Dunn is the primary target of the Sox this offseason. high five!
  12. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 04:23 PM) Not sure if this has already been posted but this site's claiming it's all but a done deal: http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...-adam-dunn.html It's a Dunn deal.
  13. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 04:20 PM) I'm thrilled about Dunn, comfortable with the starting pitching, but wouldn't go after PK if it will prevent the Sox from doing something about the pen. Pena or DLee? I think they are trading a starting pitcher.
  14. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 04:19 PM) According to Rosenthal, Konerko's agent wants to talk with Kenny at the Winter Meetings, as there has not been any talks so far. There you go. I bet he's feeling out the market.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 04:15 PM) Can you elaborate (at least as to why you said the next week)? Because its been very quiet on that front. Which is exactly why I alluded to a different 1B coming into the fold. Just my opinion...
  16. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 04:13 PM) So do we really think we can get PK done? To me that is the key now. That could be an awesome lineup I would be SHOCKED if they work something out in the next week.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 04:09 PM) Translation, I searched the internet again, and found some good information, and then I added some cool specuation to it to make it sound original. I think he searched the vmart thread and found information about that offer and when we put Dunn's offer out there.
  18. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 03:00 PM) Dunn + Lee would be awesome. Give Dunn $12 million per year and Lee $5 million + incentives for one year. I would accept losing AJ if we gain both those. With Morel at third, we would have arguably the top defensive infield in baseball. You could still sign AJ since we just saved money getting rid of Jenks.
  19. 50 guests reading right now? Thats never good.
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 02:54 PM) Derrek Lee would be great as as #5 hitter in this lineup. And improve our IF defense. He also has a good relationship with KW and Oz
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 2, 2010 -> 02:43 PM) DLee is done. Done how? Check out his stats after he left the Cubs
  22. I wouldnt discount his information that quickly because he's a douche. There are leaks all over the org, and I like it that way.
  23. And If I had my way, I would swap out AJP for Russell Martin. But thats just me.
