QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 29, 2010 -> 01:25 PM) I thought Avatar was pretty meh. Very predictable. And I loves me some 3d movies. Of course, most of the 3D movies I see are for kids when I take my daughter to see them, but it definitely enhances the experience for us. We loved seeing Alice in Wonderland in 3d. And I am really excited to see Tron in 3D You mean you've seen Dance With Wolves before? Or any other movies with that premise? The cool thing about Avatar is the fact its all CGI and that it rules in the theater in 3D.

    iPhone 4

I make mine myself, its very easy. First you have to copy the track somewhere on your desktop, then you shorten it to I believe 15 seconds, then you change the ending of the file to .m4r and drag it back into itunes ringtones. Make sure you sync your itunes folder on your phone. Once you get thorough the process a few times it becomes second nature.
  3. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Nov 28, 2010 -> 08:12 PM) We are going to get absolutely raped on national tv by Ohio State. Not necessarily, OSU has had some trouble with teams that play good defense and can defend down low.
  4. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 29, 2010 -> 03:36 PM) Iowa s***ting their pants during the second half of the season probably hurt OSU's strength of schedule significantly. However Iowa is probably as good as anything that Boise played this season. They are judged purely on record which is not always a good indicator of team strength and talent.
  5. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 29, 2010 -> 12:12 PM) Playing a good (and ranked) Nevada team versus playing a terrible Michigan team will do that to you. I didn't post this in reaction to any other discussion here. I'm saying that OSU will probably be the second Big Ten team in a BCS bowl, whereas Boise State won't, despite having a similar SOS and more quality wins. End of the day it's about money, but if I'm a Boise State fan I'd be mad too. And the strength of the WAC has nothing to do with it. SoS clearly evened out over the season. The only reason they are ranked higher right now is because of when Boise lost. When OSU lost to Wisco they were thrown down to #11 which would probably put them out of the BCS picture. And if you really think Boise's schedule was harder meaning they played better and more talented teams, well then thats your prerogative. They are trying to trade up by moving a to the MWC, which is the conference TCU is leaving because its still not a relevant conference. That shows you where the WAC is in comparison.
  6. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 29, 2010 -> 11:31 AM) Food for thought: http://thebiglead.com/index.php/2010/11/29...5-win/#comments Ohio State's SOS was higher than Boise's as of this weekend, so not sure how that changed a whole bunch. Plus OSU is not playing for the national title which was the topic of discussion. The comparison should be against the highest rated B10 school and that is Wisconsin. And Gee's point was about a national title game, and the only teams that are eligible for that are not only better than BSU, but have much harder schedules. Apologist's should keep crying though, you lost your chance to make a run at the title game. If people are really foolish enough to think that WAC schools are as talented as Big Ten schools week in and week out thats their problem. It doesnt take a genius to see the difference not only in size, but talent. Boise clearly sees themselves on the same level as those MAC schools above as they request the exact same amount of money to play OSU.
  7. Philly was dirty all day, and showed it to finish the game on the kneel downs.
  8. 3 11-1 teams in the B10 is ridiculous. I am watching the 2005 UM v OSU game right now and they both have a chance to win the conference title. UM has 3 losses and OSU has 2 and OSU is ranked 7th and UM 15th. Amazing how now 1 or 2 losses pretty much kills you in these conferences. And even with those records, these teams are stacked with NFL players. I count 4 NFL starters on OSU's offense alone.
  9. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 06:46 PM) So if Oregon and Auburn win next week, I think the BCS bowls will look like this: Sugar - Ohio St vs Arkansas Rose - Wisconsin vs Stanford Fiesta - TCU vs OK ST/NEB Orange - Big East #1 vs FSU/Va Tech NC - Auburn vs Oregon No, since the PAC 10 would have a team in the NC, the Rose would have to take the first non-AQ team and that would be TCU.
  10. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 05:33 PM) Wisconsin just can't seem to be stopped offensively. I feel like they would give anybody in the country a good game right now. And, of course, I couldn't be happier with Tennessee today. Went 4-0 in November to become bowl-eligible, and extended our winning streak over Kentucky to 26 straight years. I think we'll be heading to the Music City Bowl or maybe Liberty Bowl. Wisconsin and Arkansas looked alot like each other today. Wisconsin looks to be lined up with TCU in the Rose Bowl which would be an awesome game to watch. Its extremely hard to stop wisconsin's run game, but I would like to see what TCU can do with it.
  11. And THATTTTTTS the ballgame. Only 7 points RichRod? Hope you stay another year. 7 in a row vs UM 6th straight Big Ten title The Vest is 9-1 vs UM
  12. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 10:40 AM) I disagree. That Boise team would recruit much better players and be able to play with the big boys. It works both ways. The competition would get tougher, but since their coaching is really really good, they would also get enough recruits to be an even better team than they are now. Either way though, I hate Boise. I've been riding with TCU for so long. Let's hope South Carolina could pull something out. To recruit with those big conference schools they would have to upgrade their facilities, outrecruit not only conference foes but geographical ones and somehow have some little bit of success to entice players to move all the way out to Idaho. Either that or they could move the entire campus from where it currently resides. A majority of the dominant big conference teams already have really really good coaching and recruiting, so that would be a wash.
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 27, 2010 -> 10:24 AM) This is absolutely true. They lost the game, they do not deserve to be in the national title discussion any longer. And this is the price they pay for playing in a weak conference - there is ZERO room for error, unlike a team that plays in a power conference, which may be able to enter the championship picture as a one-loss team. I am certainly not someone that ignores the difficulty of playing a schedule that can occur from playing in a power conference. The schedules that come out of the SEC, the Big 10, the Big 12 in recent years, and the Pac 10 can be absolutely brutal. Teams that play in power conferences do deserve more credit for playing the schedules they do, which really has a cumulative effect that is difficult to quantify. But I also find it difficult to claim from one loss that resulted from a blown chip-shot field goal on the road against a quality opponent, that it can be discerned how Boise St would fare in a power conference. The sampel size is simply too small. Well, you can clearly take a look at the difference in the quality of players they both possess and face on a weekly basis. Take a look at recruiting rankings, and then compare that to how many NFL players go on from the schools in the conference. Boise just doesnt face nearly the quality of talent that an SEC, B10, B12 Pac10 team does every week. They run the table in what amount to be almost a MAC-type conference in terms of talent and we are supposed to believe they could compete in a power conference? ANyone who thinks BSU would be more than avg to below avg in the SEC is clearly ignoring just about every piece of truth out there. Once in awhile a small conference school can beat a serious team out of a power conference, I watched my alma mater in 2003 be that team. But that one game doesnt mean that they could last a season, because they couldnt.
  14. I dont know how someone can watch the SEC games like the one tonight and say a team like Boise could be better than an avg team in that conference. Those teams are loaded with NFL talent and you play them week in and week out. Or you could play Nevada as your toughest game which has roughly 1/5th the amount of players in the NFL than a team like Alabama.
  15. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Nov 24, 2010 -> 08:22 PM) If it came from someone other than him, it would have some validity, but OSU literally always underperforms. Who have they faced this year besides Miami who was #12 when they faced them, but now is unranked. I think TCU and BSU would wipe the floor with OSU. They have won 5 BCS bowl games while losing only 3, nice try. If thats underperforming, every team in the country would love to underperform. OSU would smoke BSU, TCU would be a much bigger challenge. And OSU also offered to play a home and home with Boise and Boise wanted OSU to pay them just like a small MAC school would. Thats why nobody wants to play them.
  16. QUOTE (spiderman @ Nov 24, 2010 -> 06:23 PM) That's what I'm thinking also, we may swap Konerko for Dunn, but there's just no payroll flexibility. I do think there's a chance that Williams moves Floyd, but it would probably have to be for young talent, again, because of payroll. They may just bank on their starting rotation being able to carry the team for a full season, though trading a guy like Floyd, even as inconsistent as he can be, would weaken the staff as well. Tough off-season for the Sox to be able to improve the team much. What if they did Konerko, Jenks and AJ, for Dunn and DLEE?
  17. QUOTE (spiderman @ Nov 24, 2010 -> 02:16 PM) Considering the Sox already have 80 million for 12 or 13 players, still have to decide what to with Konerko, AJ and Putz plus find ways to improve the team, where is the money coming from to offer up $12 million (or more) for Martinez? Is that at the expense of Konerko? They didnt offer that much to him as there was no offer. However, if they offer a contract to Adam Dunn, it will be at the expense of Konerko and maybe even AJ. You would then have Viciedo as your starting 1B and Dunn as your full time DH.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 24, 2010 -> 12:25 PM) According to Mark Gonzales of the Trib, The Sox did have discussions with Martinez's agent, but they never made a formal to their camp. HEY!!! Finally good reporting!!! I wonder where that number came from in order to make Det up their offer?????
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 24, 2010 -> 11:13 AM) But Plumlee looks pretty damn good. As I said a few weeks ago, and I know you are a great cbball guy, is that Duke not being picked #1 by everyone is absolutely crazy. They look very impressive, however I wouldnt have minded seeing them match up against my guys. Is K-state really as good as they were ranked? I havent been overly impressed by them so far.
  20. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 22, 2010 -> 10:26 AM) Pitchfork gives Kanye's new album a rare 10.0 Its pretty f***ing awesome. And actually Lloyd Banks new album isnt half bad.
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 07:31 PM) Supposedly the Yankees have yet to make Lee an offer another league source full of s***. People are so desperate for information that they will listen to "sources" that are plants from agents to either set the market or gauge the interest in the market. Thus is the information age.
  22. QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 06:58 PM) Then send a newsletter out to members of the community who desire to know this "insider information." If someone squeals throughout the organization, I doubt any of us would rat them out on it since it is good information for us. You know, most of this information is stuff that espn insider probably has, also. I heard this information from 670 earlier today. That's all. No, its not information that is on ESPN insider. I dont think thats what you understand. Nobody is getting insider info from the internet.
  23. QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 06:40 PM) I sure do know what inside information people have on this board. Most of it is crap. If they actually had something legit, they would share it publicly instead of just taking it to PMs. And if the team had no money...why did the White Sox offer Victor Martinez that contract earlier today? Your top point is exactly why PM's are used alot of the time. This board gets national exposure at times when there is inside information, and some people dont want their sources outed. Secondly, who said they offered VMART that kind of money? They do have money and they are going to spend it, but that Vmart story was a great deal of public bulls***.
  24. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 05:52 PM) But now you can sign him at a more reasonable rate. I'd still not be opposed to offering him arb and overpaying that one season vs. risking his signing elsewhere. I bet he signs for less per year than arb, but for multiple years.
