  1. QUOTE (tonyho7476 @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 02:03 PM) I believe you were close up in the section too...I would much rather be in row 19, than row 2 or 3. Are you going to be around 115/116 still? I am now in 149. I'm in 150 now, moving to 149 i think, havent pulled the trigger since I'll now be 4 seats off the aisle instead of 2
  2. QUOTE (tonyho7476 @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 01:08 PM) Done...got to change sides of the field...moved two sections closer...and moved up 17 rows, for a better view. I was in row 2, but I hated the view. This will be much better. It appears I may be moving up as well.
  3. Being a Chicago native since birth, I should be used to the incredibly cold weather. Unfortunately, I hate it more than anything. Lately I have been trying to battle this with many north face coats, wool coats, etc and I never seem to be warm enough. Walking a dog at 11pm down madison st at night is frankly painful for me. I have been looking into down coats etc lately. The question is, what jackets, hats, etc do YOU use to stay warm?
  4. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 12:36 PM) It'll be a good year in the big ten, imo. Michigan should be better too, although I'd rather they s*** themselves with Drill Rod as the coach. Well, since they are at the bottom, there is no where else to go but up.
  5. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 12:11 PM) Cool thing is: 19 of 22 starters back for the Hawkeyes as it stands now. And we get Jewel Hampton back, whooooo!!! I believe we are at 18 of 22 for the Buckeyes. Wisco returns a bunch as well.
  6. QUOTE (tonyho7476 @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 10:55 AM) Well, I called up and demanded a new rep...and I expect to get something done. I'm not as concerned about upgrade, as I am in moving to the Sox side of the field. I would hope that the $20,000 + I spent there for my wedding, might get something done. Otherwise, this might be my last year buying season tix. I've only truly had one good rep in 7 years at this point. Pretty pathetic for the Sox.
  7. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 11:17 AM) I remember those teevee ads for Long Chevrolet. . . IN ELMHURST! Celozzi Etelson chevrolet in elmhurst at york and roosevelt road. Where you always save more money.
  8. Jonathon Hankins DT Detroit choose OSU over Michigan and Fla among others.
  9. I've made the request several years in a row now to no avail.
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 10:13 AM) Ha! Lake to Damon flies. You gotta understand that this is my neighborhood and I look out onto madison from morgan and directly west towards the stadium. The fact that madison is bumper to bumper (with idiots trying to pass on the right side, its not a four lane road) and you can drive down lake, randolph, adams and monroe with no issue shows me where these people are coming from, and how many games they have actually been to at the UC. I am walking my dog before home games usually down madison and see the frustration of people who just need to drive a block north or south.
  11. Wow, not sure its a good idea, but Cam "ironhead jr" Heyward is staying another year. And I found this on another board: First downs and total yardage of the 4 unstoppable, amazing offenses faced by the Big Ten's 4 bowl winners: 9-155 14-249 9-243 12-260
  12. SOmething to think about is that in the NL Central 2 sluggers like that puts you in the drivers seat for as long as they are there. The division is THAT bad with a terrible future. The Cubs are getting older and must rebuild with no farm system, the Pirates and Astros are hopeless. Pujols+Holliday should net them 1st or 2nd in that division year over year.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 10:23 PM) These teams are both pretty mediocre. Iowa's the worst offense GT has faced in 3 months, and GT's players seem to be on drugs tonight. Tons of dumb decisions/penalties. Bulls***, it was the same story of a "prolific offense" that hadn't seen a defense like the top few in the Big Ten. You give Kirk Ferentz 30 days to prepare for a team that relies on deception and overpursuit, and you are toast. Especially when you have a few guys that will play on sunday. They held the #2 Rushing offense in the country to half their production, and their lowest point total all season. Nice job Hawks.
  14. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 06:03 PM) I'm very glad I was able to see a game for around $30-$35 last year with the ticket prices going up like crazy now (even if teh Hawks had to lose to Columbus, ugh). Well, we wanted it and we got it, a great team. Now we have to deal with the 90's-like Bulls ticket prices. Oh and for all you people going to Hawks games in the future, Madison is not the only street that goes to the UC.
  15. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 03:49 PM) Ah, the vaunted Cyclones D. Iowa could be really dangerous with a good QB and a legit WR threat aside from McNutt. I was joking. IMO the best thing that could happen to Iowa would be if Stanzi missed the plane.
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 03:12 PM) Come on Hawkeyes!! I'll be cheering them on with a bunch of Iowa fans.....but still in OSU gear
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 02:00 PM) I remember when Jewel brand soda was 10-25 cents, and the variety was crazy awesome. I used to walk in the soda aisle and buy like 10 bucks worth in high school for the week. Black Cherry was the best, hands down. This was only like 10-15 years ago, then they started pricing it competitively. 1.Black Cherry 2. Cream Soda 3. Red Pop Top three, easily.
  18. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 01:30 PM) Not sure why people think Iowa's offense will be all too dynamic. Because they put up 35 on the Cyclones?
  19. I pogo ball'ed over to a friends house as a means of transportation.
  20. I believe this is who they kept showing all night. http://www.showgirls.tcu.edu/roster.htm
