NW needs to stay away from that horrible trap zone if they want to stand a chance. -
2 of the weakest goals ive seen them give up this season. Just lazy plays.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 19, 2010 -> 05:39 PM) Ferentz reportedly has an in-home visit with Seantrel Henderson today. You really are hanging onto that thread of hope arent you? I think he's all USC or ND at this point. You and I need to forget he even exists. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 18, 2010 -> 10:17 PM) Not in the Olympics. International is very vague, as there are a million different leagues with their own sets of rules. International rules and international sized-ice is focused on an almost totally different game than the NHL.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jan 18, 2010 -> 09:29 PM) And you're not giving Minny's D any credit. Their front 4 did what they were supposed to do. If you chase any NFL QB around enough, you're gonna cause a turnover. They do get credit for being as good as they are, but Romo still played bad. Favre was chased around quite a bit, the difference is that he made plays while that happened and Romo just danced around and got sacked. -

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jan 18, 2010 -> 04:25 PM) Actually, being a Cowboys fan & having watched every game I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about. When the O-Line has a bad game/faces a defense that gives them fits they don't score and Romo gets beat up. Against Denver he was sacked 5 times, offense only scores 10 points & loses. Against Green Bay, 5 sacks, 7 points, loss. The only fumble that wasn't caused by the defense was his 2nd fumble where he completely missed the snap. Correct, being a cowboys fan you are giving credit to the other team instead of being critical of one of your favorite players. If you want to call that "knowing what you are talking about" by all means continue. -
QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 18, 2010 -> 06:09 AM) I don't follow hockey as much as I used to as a little kid but really, I could do without the fighting, it cheapens the sport in my opinion... Then you dont truly understand the role fighting plays in hockey. Its not something that is random or is only for show, self policing is a huge part of hockey.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jan 17, 2010 -> 10:16 PM) I call it going up against a very good defense. Ha, thats cause you are on the other end of the spectrum as a Romo lover. Go back and look at the 6 sacks he took, at least 3 were because of his happy feet, his reads and his reluctance to step up in the pocket. His fumbles were not all caused by the defense. The guy played a bad game in a big situation. -

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jan 17, 2010 -> 05:08 PM) The Cowboys just got beat up today, doesn't get anymore simple than that. Minny's front 4 just did work all day. To say Romo choked isn't fair, although there are enough Cowboys haters that'll tell you otherwise. 66.1 QB rating. Do you call that playing good? -
I still dont understand Det fans booing Hossa. The guy took a pay cut, played hurt, and helped carry your team to a Cup finals.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 17, 2010 -> 02:20 PM) The bigger the game, the bigger the s*** that Romo takes. He's a bit of a choker huh? -
Eat s*** Wings. Your team is one of the gayest to watch, enjoy Bertuzzi.
-
You got luck there Detroit Diving team, Hossa wont miss many of those.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 09:03 PM) Went to Dick's yesterday and got all my stuff. Ended up getting a yoga mat, some resistance bands, the pull-up bar, and a set of perfect pushups. Rock, do you really have to have a chair? I don't really have normal chairs in my condo... Yeah, for chair dips and help on your chin ups. You wont be able to do the entire back workouts without a chair.

Epic Burger on south state is pretty damn good. La Briola in Lombard/Oak Brook beats all comers though.

QUOTE (The Gooch @ Jan 17, 2010 -> 02:01 AM) You are a Sigma Chi? Me too. Where did you go to school at? Alpha Chapter here. -
The Wings have turned into the NHL Spurs. All they do now is take dives, whine at the refs and with the acquisition of Bertuzzi, take cheap shots.

Which team did you have higher expectations for?

QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 06:11 PM) 2006. I have no expectations for 2010. This isn't a playoff team....Good starting pitching, average pen, average lineup doesn't make you a playoff team. I think our pen is better than avg in every spot but LOOGY to be honest. We have a good closer, two dynamic set up guys and a good enough long man. Our lineup is not good however. -

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 02:24 PM) Sullinger is a beast. He's already a Man. They put 2 guys on him all game and took him out of the offensive end, yet he still won it with 2 clutch free throws and a block at the end. -

If you have high hopes for this team at this point you need to stop smoking so much weed. Our offense as it stands today needs a ridiculous amount of dominant, healthy pitching. -
QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 09:36 AM) Soto lost 37 in the pounds in the offseason, and the Cubs are supposedly "ecstatic." http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...,0,124387.story I mean, why wouldn't they be? When a guy whose minor league power numbers suddenly spike and then dramatically plummet loses tons of weight, it can only be a good thing, right? I guess getting off the roids is something to be happy about?

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 15, 2010 -> 05:18 PM) ND needs to be on that list. Theres no question. It easily is the most pressure of any program in the country. Even though they really havent been very good for about 20 years and really racked up alot of wins extremely early on in football history a la Michigan, its still one of the most prestigious programs in the country. -

If anyone is interested in seeing one of the future studs in the Big Ten, there are two OSU recruits playing on ESPN HS bball today. Jared Sullinger is a must see.
