  1. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 01:43 PM) And really if you want to know why the Big 10 sucks so bad just look at the QB play across the conference, it is freaking pathetic. Not a single guy with an NFL future. I don't understand how that happens. LOL, how can you even say that? There are so many underclassmen playing QB in the conference it would be moronic to say that at this point. Do you know how many NFL QB's dont develop until even their senior year?
  2. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 01:14 PM) I would say so. Pryor is just terrible at QB. Its all on the coaching staff and the QB coach who has ZERO experience developing QB's when the #1 recruit in the country was better as a freshman.
  3. Sweet, should be 21-13 but instead down by 9 with the worst OC in the conference at the helm. Nice. Consider the season a failure if you lose to Purdue boys.
  4. Wow, which one of these refs went to purdue. I dont think I've ever seen a fumble and recovery x-ed out after a coach complains that they should have blown a whistle. And now a phantom hold taking points off the board. nice.
  5. Apparently Evan Turner is throwing around the idea of staying for his senior season. http://blog.dispatch.com/hoopsscoops/2009/...t_staying.shtml With the talent coming in next year, they could be scary good, but I'm fairly sure he will change his mind and go pro.
  6. QUOTE (WCSox @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 07:28 PM) Yeah, that's a good point. The Cubs media likely rode him a lot harder than the people covering the Ranger, A's, and Padres. And you know that the coverage would be AT LEAST the same (and likely even more intensified) if he moved 8 miles south. It's a disaster waiting to happen. Cowley would be on him like crazy because thats pretty much all he can do, but for some reason I feel like all it would take would be him knowing that his success on the southside would kill Cubs fans and that would be good enough for one year out of him.
  7. Wasnt that a few days ago? They had it fixed in 12 hours.
  8. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 04:51 PM) Rodman headbutted a ref and had a huge suspension. I believe with the Spurs he used to take his shoes off at odd times. That stuff interferes with a team.... but I might argue that everything Bradley did this year couldve been passable if the team was good enough around him. Because the Cubs were bad, it snowballed. Next year, I see us having a kick ass rotation... we have a lowstakes x-factor in Rios, and highstakes x-factors in Quentin, Pods.....but if those two come through, we could have an above average offensive attack. We just need to fill the DH role. If all the pieces are in place, a headcase can sometimes fit the bill as a cheap last piece to the puzzle. I would say most of the catalyst was the awful fans on the northside to be honest. He's never experienced anything like that at all.
  9. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 04:19 PM) I think Cincy would handle themselves. Once everyone loses a game (because that always happens) it won't be a discussion, but if Cincy is the only undefeated it would be absurd to keep them out of the title game. I just think their lack of any sort of defense of any kind will hurt them. I thought this was a pretty good article on ESPN about the importance of defense for the best teams in the country.
  10. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 02:58 PM) That would be new. You think he'd suddenly stop being mentally unstable because his manager would also be mentally unstable? Seems more like a recipe for disaster than a solution to me. No, I think he would still be unstable, but I think Ozzie knows how to handle those guys and I think sticking it to the Cubs would motivate him for at least 1 year. We could deal him if he has another year like he did in 08
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 03:31 PM) Do you think they'd have any chance against an Alabama or Florida? Because the argument with Cincy isn't if they are BCS quality like it is with Boise State because I think everybody agrees that Cincinnati is BCS quality if they take care of business on the field. The argument with them is do they deserve a shot at the title game if they go undefeated. Not a chance. Florida's defense would eat them alive. In fact most of the best teams in the country have great defensive squads. Those teams that dont, wont last very long in a BCS bowl.
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 02:38 PM) Im still a big fan of one of his originals, where he pretended to be a different scammer as well as the victim, and he got the guy to get a tattoo and made him take pictures of it Theres a good one where he got the scammer to carve a likeness of his head out of wood and send it to him. He has this sweet wood carving of his own head now for free.
  13. I'd take him. Only because I think Ozzie can handle him and because I think he would be motivated by sticking it to the Cubs and their fans. I think he would behave here with our fans, especially if he just continued to s*** on the Cubs org.

  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 02:11 PM) i think it is 419eater.com edit: didnt see your link at first That guy is special, he makes those idiots do some hilarious stuff. In this one he made this idiot read 8 hours of a book for a fake "audio book company" http://www.419eater.com/html/booked2.htm
  16. Have you guys seen the website of the dudes that respond to those "nigerian bank account transfer" emails? Its hilarious the things they make those idiots do. http://www.419eater.com/html/hall_of_shame.htm
  17. QUOTE (League @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 11:25 AM) Maybe Kelly Johnson? IIRC he was a great defender in left before the Braves moved him to second. I like Kelly Johnson a ton. I had him on my fantasy team before he decided to tank. His year this year may have just been growing pains.
  18. How many times can they do that though? I havent heard of another team doing this so this cant be that easy of a loophole.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 10:04 AM) if anybody from the Vikings deserves an MVP vote, I think I might go with Jared Allen so far this year Easily, he's the most dominant force on that team right now.
  20. I'd rather take a chance on a younger player that has fallen out of favor on his team like Conor Jackson. Our pitching is good enough to hold us afloat through some growing pains in the beginning of the season.
  21. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 10:28 AM) Many people at USF feel that Daniels is better than Grothe. He probably WILL be, but I think its pretty obvious he isnt there yet. Also of note in that game, the Left tackle from Cincy handled the pash rush from one of the best in the country with ease.
  22. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 09:31 AM) I was talking with my sister, and she said she read that supposedly the balloon was incapable of even lifting a small child... especially a 6 year old. Anyone see the Mythbusters Episode where they tried to fly a small child with helium balloons? A balloon of this stories size simply couldn't lift the child. The balloon in question was used to carry rockets into a weather system, so it most likely had never even been tested for a child. Probably why they made the hoax involved the smaller kid so that it was somewhat believeable. This family is totally screwed up anyway.
  23. Cincy is lucky South Fla is down a bit with their RSF at QB. Cincy simply doesnt play D and they will have some issues if they face one of the teams above them, all of which have good defensive squads.
  24. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Oct 15, 2009 -> 09:27 PM) Huet with a nice bounce back game, albeit against a POS team. I guess some of the credit should go to Q for putting his goalies in the best position to succeed. Either way, Huet did come up with a few big stops, so give credit where credit is due. If there was any time to play Huet it was last night. I havent seen Nashville that bad in awhile. I kept expecting them to turn it on at some point, but it never happened. Kaner continues to be on fire, that kid is everywhere. He had a ridiculous redirect that was saved but just him getting his stick in position was impressive. Buff is just pouring in goals, I like that he has figured out his role on this team. Also my largest criticism of Skille has always been that he looks slow, but I think the game has slowed down for him a bit which has allowed him to speed up. He looks like a good Burish replacement.
  25. QUOTE (Tex @ Oct 15, 2009 -> 03:21 PM) helium is the standard design for long distance. Steve Fossett set the record with a 12 day flight. I wasnt questioning the helium, I was questioning the weirdos who built it themselves.
