QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 17, 2009 -> 06:34 PM) the whole team is solid...its a really nice lineup too....i just hope we can get to shields/make him throw alot of pitches and get into their pen though swinging at ball 2 on a 1-0 count for a double play doesnt help and first pitch out by quentin doesnt either -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 17, 2009 -> 06:30 PM) That's a pretty fantastic defensive team Tampa has out there. the whole team is solid...its a really nice lineup too....i just hope we can get to shields/make him throw alot of pitches and get into their pen though swinging at ball 2 on a 1-0 count for a double play doesnt help -
i know you said it would be for your anniversary in july, but if you can somehow go in late august or september during fall....its absolutely gorgeous up there

QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Apr 16, 2009 -> 06:55 PM) the last 3 "stud" college RP's coming out of the draft is Craig Hansen, Huston Street, and Chad Cordero. None have been particularily all that great, despite some early success for Street and Cordero. I know the mariners drafted I think Joshua Fields a RP this last year, dont know how well he is doing. But, given the track record I dont want anything to do with a relief pitcher in the first few rounds. and casey weathers who is out for the whole year with TJ surgery...also royce ring worked out horrible for us...even though we dumped him on the mets for alomar
-
Jon Link with 4 Ks in 2 scoreless innings....i think he could be in chicago pretty soon with MacDougal going down
-
obviously still very early, but the twins have the worst run differential in the league right now (-22) and its gonna get worse once this 9-1 game vs. toronto ends...
-
that whole game was way harder than it needed to be...but still a win is a win...lets get after shields tomorrow

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 16, 2009 -> 12:02 PM) Priceless website. seriously, how have i never seen that site before?
-
i think we'll go pitcher heavy as usual, plus thats where our system has its biggest need...dont care if its college or high school, but i would liek to see the best arm available taken, regardless of slotting

IIRC thome hit like the 3rd set of catwalks on just an absolute bomb off of Niemann last year....i think konerko went deep also found it.... http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/media/vide...58&c_id=cws -
QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 16, 2009 -> 08:48 AM) KG out for playoffs. http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/ce...rs_garnett.html This changes things quite a bit. damn......good thing we lost last night...seriously thats huge...i think we have a decent shot at maybe winning or at least taking it deep

episode was in the mold of one of the first few seasons, going back and forth between flashbacks off the island and now on the island.... you knew farraday would return at some point. I also think Pierre Chang knows its his son...he obviuosly knows the capability of time travel and the island, and hes gotta think its more than a coincidence that an asian guy named miles shows up. Who were teh people in the van that tell Miles not to go to the island? Obviously they are against Widmore, so does that mean they are working for/with Ben? Are they some sort of third party? Also they ask the same question Ilana asks to Lupidus "what lies in the shadow of the statue." wtf im so confused

i feel bad for michael j fox...you can really see him shaking in the booth up there...poor guy...only 48 and already has pretty advanced PD....

QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 03:02 PM) I have to believe there will be a new person in the bullpen when the Tampa series starts. Whether without Richard or MacDougal. Just a hunch. id say theres almost 0 chance richard gets sent down...he hasnt been good, but he is what he is....a lefty reliever who hopefully can give a few innings.....he just desparately needs to work on PFP
