  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 01:52 PM) Ravioli and Salad? boooo
  2. I'd start the kid in low A this year with hopes that maybe he can move up to high A by the end of the year if he succeeds. Then either HiA or AA to start 2011. Im guessing an ETA of around mid 2012
  3. i havent followed nearly as much this year as in years past, but vandy advances on walk off safety squeeze vs. louisville....will face florida state
  4. QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 09:37 PM) If the Big 10 only added Mizzou and Nebraska, wouldnt they still look to get at least one more school to get to 14? yeah probably...it could be texas, could be notre dame, pitt, rutgers, syracuse
  5. obviously there is a million different permutations for this to all go down, but what in the hell will kansas do if the big 12 falls apart and and those 6 go west, with nebraska and mizzou to big 10
  6. seriously...how many bunt base hits has pierre had all year? the number of attempts and number of hits has to be driving his average down significantly
  7. ugh...the pac 10 raids the big 12 and the big 10 raids the big east....yuck... as a big 10 fan they need to do everything in their power to pry texas or oklahoma and not missouri and freaking rutgers
  8. people are overstating how much the hawks have been outplayed.... they have been outshot by 11 across the 3 games.....while being a man short for 8 more minutes than the flyers...so essentially a huge chunk of the shot differential is due to the hawks taking stupid penalties yes, weve been outplayed in the 3rd periods of most these games, but much of that has had to do with playing a more conservative style in protecting a lead in the first two games...I believe the fact that weve been outplayed in the last period leaves people in the mindset that weve been outplayed all game, when in fact in game 3 we dominated the first 20 mintues of play....in 5 on 5 hockey the hawks have clearly been the better team IMO I mean its really as simple as being 0-6 on the PP for the hawks and 4-10 for the flyers....
  9. horrendous 10 min stretch or so followed by a good final 4 minutes....lets hope they keep that momentum into OT
  10. SOPEL! another +1 for the 4th line on the faceoff win for madden
  11. stupid f***ing penalties are killing us......for as good as buff was against vancouver and san jose hes been awful this series...worst hawk on the ice IMO
  12. was that phil mickelson sitting behind the flyers bench? if not it reallllly looked like him....even more reason to hate that douche
  13. philly has been great on the forecheck, and as a result weve made some pretty bad turnovers....seems like when we play s***ty its because of our own dumb penalties and turnovers
  14. if pierre admits that he is bad at drag bunting....why the hell is he doing it
  15. hawks have absolutely dominated the puck so far but no results yet

    LOST!!!!

while I understand the writers wanted it to be about the characters, you guys can't tell me thats why you tuned in.... you didn't watch the next episode to hopefully see sayid and nadia get together, you watched because the ended episodes with charlie saying "guys, where are we"...and you tuned in the next week to see the answers to the questions they purposed in the episode before....and i can't help but feel like alot of those questions went unanswered.... im less mad about the finale because i came to the realization at the beginning of season 6 that many, many, many of those questions would be unanswered....they just didnt have the time to at that point

    Driving Into Chicago

QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ May 26, 2010 -> 09:21 AM) If I were you, I would take I-80 from northwest indiana and get off on the Harlem Ave. North exit, and just drive Harlem ave until you get to palos park. As a person from the area, I always feel taking Harlem and other roads such as LaGrange is faster, but that's cause I've been up and down those roads all my life. Chances are your mapquest directions from Palos Park to downtown Chicago will tell you to take the Eisenhower Expressway from LaGrange road. That sucks, because I actually hate the Eisenhower. I love taking I-57 (from I-80) to I-94 to get downtown, I just like I-57 better, it's just a ncie scenic drive and you get to see all various parts of the city on the way (such as some of the far south suburbs, the awesome run-down appearance of some South Side homes, then the "stretch run" of driving towards downtown with all the skyscrapers in the horizon.) i'm guessing you mean take the stevenson (55) downtown from palos park and not the Ike (290) which is much farther north About 4 years ago 80/94 aka the borman was horrendous....always traffic, but they repaved it and in recent years its gotten alot better IMO....if you leave at 4 am Albany time, and have no setbacks along the way...youd be hitting the bad part around 3:30 which should be ok....if you hit a setback of about an hour....things may get interesting. The truth of the matter, however, is that no matter where you are, any major expressway is going to have traffic at 5pm.... The best way to go is gonna be 80/94 to 294 and then get off at 127th and take that over ...I believe that is how mapquest will tell you to do it as well....if you take 80 to Harlem like was suggested, you are a good 7 miles south of where you need to be, and thatll take you an extra 20-25 min on Harlem IMO
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 19, 2010 -> 09:15 PM) This Rays team is the best I've seen in over a decade. I'm sold. And they're JUST NOW starting to hit. Evan Longoria is the best player in the AL. Wade Davis, their 5th starter, has bamboozled the Yankees offense tonight. You could make an argument that all 3 of Price, Garza and Shields should be all-stars. And they've got a guy in Jeremy Hellickson who might be the best pitching prospect in baseball (Strasburg doesn't count. He was never a prospect). their starters are ridiculous for sure. that team is young, talented and freaking good (remind me the blackhawks without the payroll issues)... in thinking about who the best teams are over the last decade, thats a great question...its difficult because some of the best teams of the last 10 years didn't win the world series IMO.....the 01 mariners, and there was a cardinals team or two in like 04 when edmonds rolen and pujols all had MVP calibur years, then they added larry walker.....some of those yankees teams were unbelievable too in like 02-04 (I believe they had 3 straight years of 100+ wins). Among teams that won it, I'd have to say the 04 Bosox or 05 White sox The rays definitely have a shot to be one of the best, and IMO are definitely a top 2 team this year, if not the best. (i know they have beaten the yankees and are up 4 games on them, but when its all said and done, I wonder how that will shake out)
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 19, 2010 -> 10:13 AM) I prefer the Finnish Fortress for Niemi i believe the kris versteeg beauty thing stems from this....
  20. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 18, 2010 -> 09:36 PM) Thorton pulled someone down with his stick, of course the refs miss it. how in the world did they miss that ? He yanked bolland down right in the middle of the ice....
  21. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 18, 2010 -> 08:13 AM) Schuster said he heard the same thing on the Score but he didnt deam it very credible. (Maybe this is where Weiner heard it) a caller called into mully and hanley and said he has a personal friend who is a real estate agent who showed him around...take that for what its worth, but the guy didnt sound like someone who would be calling it in and making it up
  22. opposing pitcher with 90 pitches after 5 IP and you go out and have a 5 pitch inning....awesome
