  1. I guess over the next 144 games, we're gonna see if you're right or not. I have a feeling this thread is going back up a few more times in the next 5 months.
  2. Of course he can throw. Few turn DP as well as he does. Sure, he'll dip that shoulder and fire an occasional routine throw 10 rows up, but over 160 games, it evens out. He is off to a slow start (last april had 7 errors), but then again Visquel has 4 errors as well -- as do Tejada, Wilson, Guzman, Renteria and Jeter. Guess who leads the majors in Zone Rating?
  3. Let me help you out here, this is how the process works: Sox play like s*** this week, in every department. I point it out. End of story. Just because they snuck out a flukey win against Denny "2-0 on every batter" Baez, doesn't invalidate a thing I said; Sox are still not playing like they should.
  4. See, that's where you're wrong, so the rest is not worth reading.
  5. Jose plays SS. Uribe plays 2B. Best DP combo in the majors. Problem solved. I remember seeing him play with Colorado before injury as he was putting it together after a bad 2002, which should have been spent in AAA. That's where he got his nickname.
  6. Well like I said....Right now they're on pace to win 95-97 games, and once Prior is back, probably 100-103 and make it to the series, if not win it outright.
  7. No, that stupid cliche refers to #5 pitchers from teams that either have no shot at the postseason or are so dominant in other areas that #5 production is a nice bonus. The problem is, we aren't Red Sox, so, much like in 2003, getting a 4.60 ERA as opposed to a 5.60 one out of the 5th spot may very well be the difference between playing in ALDS and.....NOT. So far Wrong has an ERA of over 6.00. Not good either way. I don't think Diaz is the answer either for now, so it's either Wrong or G-Cotts, so pick your poison.
  8. soxheads = best thread-starter evah!!!!!!
  9. DRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT. This scrub may have just done what Jeff Abbott did against the Twins in 2000.....
  10. What else is there to do, but to laugh or cry? And I ain't crying because of Carl-os, the Dumbest Horse In the Universe.
  11. This is grotesque. I am speechless.
  12. Thomas carried this team in 2000. Maggs has never won a damn thing, his 14 Mill won't be missed.
  13. Huh? His game ERA is 6.00!
  14. I wonder who Mark Buerhle is gonna blame for this. Ace? Yeah, um, riiiiight. Willie's hits were fluke bouncers that are outs most of the time. Still as a bad as ever. Magglio....superstar he is not. Lee....overrated dumbass. Crede...jaw-droppingly bad. Rowand....keep on wasting 2-0 counts and hitting towering pop-ups, dude -- you'll be back at the dirtbike track full-time. :headshake
  15. It wasn't supposed to "work"; it was something Ozzie will never have - class. Oh and while we're on the subject......If this team is gonna win, it won't be because of Ozzie. It will be because guys like Konerko, Koch, Crede, Olivo, etc decide to be major leaguers again. Notice the "IF"...
  16. Do I have to tell you where you can shove your low expectations, or are you gonna figure this one out on your own, kid?
  17. Wrong pitched a solid game on Sat, but he didn't step up when Sox weren't hitting and really needed it, he didn't shut Ray's down. ' Diaz may not be the answer either, so it's damned if you do and damned if you don't.
  18. The worst part is that he is a two-pitch pitcher, with a low 90's fastball and a slider which he hangs half the time. Piazza should be ashamed of himself, he is so bad in this series.
  19. glad Sox didn't overpay. :puke
