  1. Oh yeah? When he's forced to retire because he practically lives on DL and nobody wants to take a chance on his abused hamstrings....I am sure he'll have lucid dreams of a 3 year/10 Mill contract he could have had.....as they're repo'ing his boat a few years from now. I am guessing Sox too are enjoying the great willie harris-kelly dransfeltd tandem.
  2. Sat GoG: Carlos Lee Sandy came close second. If it weren't for 3 SB allowed and an error, I am sure he'd had in the bag. :puke
  3. That because deep down, under the dopey homer facade, there is an astute baseball fan hiding -- and he is disgusted with Sox having the most anemic 2-0/3-0 hitters ever. Sandy just swung at ball 4.
  4. Oh yeah...Lee....there is no cure for stupidity. Frank just walked, Baez struggles with contral and this POS uppercuts the 1st outside pitch.
  5. Sandy is the worst defensive catcher in AL and he swung at 3 balls 4 :headshake Uribe had a 2-0 count and went down like a b****. Crede is beyond bad. Showboat Gload be great if foul ball liners counted for something. Rowand had a nice HR swing on a pitch he was looking for -- at his shoe-strings Rangeless Wonder Konerko....as vad as everybody else. Frank is too good for this team.
  6. Whose bright idea was it to let him play in Puerto Rico this off-season? He's never missed a winter ball, so of course at 34 his legs are f***ed. Jose will always be stupid, but was there nobody with common sense in this organization who could have put a stop this? I guess taking care of 5 mill dollar investement is overrated. :puke
  7. Hey, whatever helps to keep his ERA under 4.50. No points for style, just get it done. He's been bailed out (defense and dumb luck) so many times this year I think G-d himself wants him to succeed. Who am I to argue with that?
  8. Already has two vicious line-outs at 1B and 2B bail him out in 1st. If he had Mark Buerhle's luck, he'd have 2 ER in 1st. Fastball only 88-90mph. Where's the 94-97mph heater that won him the major leguae job in 2001? I thought Nardi has been gone for 2 years now Locates better than before and knuckler looks good, but needs to do something to put those 0-2/1-2 counts away. Maybe a good change-up could do the trick. Prove me wrong, nutjob, prove me wrong I dare yee.
  9. Used to be very MILF-ish, yes. An ambitious, high-maintance witch. Blew important people to get Anna to Nick B's academy. Super-model looks? With that face? I don't think so...
  10. Sullivan who? But I DO hate the way Minnesota has scratched and clawed its way to an 11-5 record with bums like Offerman, Ford, Punto and Blanco in the line-up, to say nothing of their crappy rotation and bullpen. They are the best mediocre team I've seen in recent years. They fight.
  11. Yeah, and without this fatass Sox would have a big, fatass L to show for tonight Let's bench the only hitter who has any grasp of 'pitch selection'. On the second thought...KMA
  12. The 2003 squad would have lost this game, probably on a blooper off Koch. The 2000 squad would have won 8-2, chasing Zambrano in the 4th. Too many chances squandered, too many hitters went to plate only thinking of depositing a HR to LF corner. At one point, Zambrano was so bad, he wouldn't hit a farm let a lone a barn and yet after a walk/HBP, the next batter (Crede, Uribe, Olivo, Lee, whathaveyou) went down hacking at garbage. No wins are "bad", but this is as close as it gets. Once again, playing down to the level of our opponents. No killer instinct. Contrast it with the way Minnesota, missing half their offense, is fighting for EVERT out, for every pitch...... Highlights: Thomas, Loaiza (two 0-2 mistakes notwithstanding), Rowand (2b, steal, just missed a 3-run HR off tough righty), Cotts and Shingo.
  13. Fri GoG: Olivo Gunned down a big runner at 2nd
  14. way to earn that 16 Mill jagoff :fyou
  15. Evelyn Dub revisits Brides.....
  16. Carlos is a low-800 OPS hitter who is average on the pads and in the field. Next year he is making 9 Mill. That's Jim Edmonds/Brian Giles land. Put 2 and 2 together, for christ's sake. He failed to develop superior pitch recogniztion/selection over his first 5 years in the league. He swings at crap, that's what he does. He's a greedy pull hitter who's simply not smart enough to be a star. You don't trade for Randy Johnson for the regular season because at this stage of his career, he has to be limited to 90-pitch counts to stay fresh. What you need him for is POSTSEASON -- to go up against Pedro in Games 1 and 4 of ALDS and kick his ass. That's what you're getting an ace at the deadline FOR, period. You want Hudson, Beckett, Halladay, Prior? Not happening. As far as Cotts....He should definately be starting -- Danny doesn't have what it takes to be a starter, never did even in 2002.
  17. Damn right I wanna, my rhetorical nuts are a-scratchin'........But Mommy hasn't medicated me yet, so I am not allowed.
  18. What about SS's own McDonaugh (sp?) dude everyone keeps chirpin' about?
  19. I didn't read this thread but I am curious about rafacosta, dbah0, joshPR and the Canadien trio.....
  20. You mean the RF porch tribune that was all but built in many fans' minds? WTF... I was talking about building something grandiose in LF because those boards are terrible. As always, taking the cheapest route....
  21. Speaking of which, why are Sox stretching Munoz into starting? His curve is great and all, but his fstball won't exceed 90 as a SP, and I am not even sure how effective his third pitch is. Good idea?
