    Sigh

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 04:26 PM) Our starting CF, beloved by our manager, is hitting .150 its funny bcuz u make it seem like he has better options. anderson?yea well hes playing just as bad right now,if not worse. blame kw for giving ozzie sh** players for cf
  2. QUOTE (gsoxs1 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 03:34 PM) It's not struggling when you have been bad your entire career.
  3. QUOTE (almagest @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 03:29 PM) .298/.347/.415/.761 in the last month. 9 hits in his last 41 ab's is ok i guessss
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 03:27 PM) Wise should just forfeit his AB. anderson and wise are both a joke lol
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 03:22 PM) Bulls***! How many people do you ever see on here post "wow, I wish we would bunt more"? well thats the way some people are, always wanting to blame ozzie. ___is alexei doing better now than earlier in the year? yes but he still isnt doing that good.
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 03:17 PM) agreed. and then he gets pissed? at what himself? if you marry a fat chick...dont expect skinny sex. yet if he had hit into a dp or flied out without atempting to bunt everyone would be saying why wasnt he bunting...
  7. hes probly just sayinbg that bcuz of all the drama lately. when a team comes, offers over 10mil a year , we'll see if he changes his mind...
  8. Oswalt? no thanks. hes been on a steady decline since 05. 2005: 2.94 era 2006: 2.98 2007: 3.18 2008: 3.54 2009: 4.62 (so far) of course theres nothing wrong with a 3 and a half era. but the point is that it doesnt look like hes getting any better. i think the sox should look else where
  9. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 22, 2009 -> 06:03 PM) The Cubs won't and really can't get Peavy no matter how much the media wants them to. i believe it when guys like bruce say the cubs dont have a dime to get peavy. do they have money? sure but theyre at their max with their payroll. they dont want to increase it. if anything, a mil or 2, but not 10+ the media loves to say the cubs can get him just bcuz peavy wants to go there but they dont realize this.
  10. QUOTE (smalls2598 @ May 22, 2009 -> 05:42 PM) The Score just reported that Rich Harden was placed on the DL with back pain. 7th time since 05 that he's been DL'ed thats funny lol and hes been awful this year(now they really could use peavy...)
  11. do the cubs have what it takes to get peavy? all i know is that they have vitters...
  12. im hearing he wouldnt want to play for ozzie?
  13. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 18, 2009 -> 03:23 PM) Walker needs to go. I'm f***in sick of this, the Sox go through these stretches every year. Maybe it's not his fault, but there has to be a change. he really does have to but it probly isnt happening. like they said, kw and jr are way too loyal to all the coaches-something has to be done
  14. what happend in arods first ab at yankee stadium today? cheered or booed?
  15. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 15, 2009 -> 11:34 AM) Huh? 18mil is what he took, that's what it took to acquire him. Some amount some other team tried to acquire him for is irrelevant. yea bcuz the angels came in at the last second and had they not, we would of had him for 15il
  16. QUOTE (BearSox @ May 14, 2009 -> 10:47 PM) Hudson will likely cash in and we don't need a 2B, Damon will likely also cash in again and he's a Boras client. Figgins makes the most sense. He's someone who's been on KW's radar for a while now and likely would not be too expensive to sign. He could play either 3B, LF, or CF for us. funny how ppl still like figgins. look at his numbers from last year and so far this year lol i guess its better than what we have but everyone really overrates him
  17. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 14, 2009 -> 11:09 PM) Hunter would have pissed people off here something intense. His defense isn't what it used to be 2-3 years ago, and he put up an .810 OPS last year. Do you really want to pay someone like that $18 mill a year? why 18mil? thats what the angels signed him for. but the sox were going to sign him for 15mil a year.
  18. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ May 11, 2009 -> 10:56 AM) I don't really get threads like this. If I have skepticism regarding the team, how should I vote? If I think they will finish in 4th place or worse based on what I've seen, does that make me an "outie" Am I "realistic" or not a "big enough fan" if I have a pessimistic view of this season? I think this is the worst Sox team I've seen in a long time. thats how i feel. i dont think were good at all. i dont see them all of the sudden doing great.
  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 8, 2009 -> 01:20 PM) I would take Thome back for $1 mill. He's still a stud. i guess its just that im tired of having 4 guys in a row that are sooooo slow
  20. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 8, 2009 -> 12:08 PM) Is this like a forum auto-gen post? Every single mention of Thome and this is guaranteed to be mentioned at least 47 times. i dunno..whenever i hear him mentioned thats what pops up in my mind.
  21. nice guy, maybe has a year left, but i hope hes not back next year. not even for 1mil
  22. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 8, 2009 -> 10:41 AM) Bulls*** it is. Talk to any old school pitcher and they'll tell you the importance of protecting your hitters and pitching inside. I was taught at a young age there is nothing wrong with hitting someone, as long as its because your protecting your teammates or more importantly establishing the inside of the plate. And I know I hit a lot of guys during all my years of pitching (despite having great control my entire, short-lived, career). i agree. and i also think whoever is pitchng should know what to do. i dont think they should have to be told by ozzie or kenny or anyone to do something.
  23. im really starting to worry about alexei though..he just looks god awful
