  1. Hopefully he's back at 100% in a few days, because if this is a prolonged or lingering injury, "This season is ovah!"
  2. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 04:52 PM) Hopefully he is back in a few days I heard he has a pulled oblique and can't swing.
  3. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 04:31 PM) AJ is injured. Season over.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 10:29 PM) I think it's more likely an NL team will take a shot with him. This could be his last week with the White Sox. I highly doubt that.
  5. QUOTE (Cali @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 09:28 PM) No way Beckham is on the 2013 White Sox. Either a trade or non-tender in the offseason. He just does not have the mental capacity to play baseball in Chicago. Maybe elsewhere but it's never gonna happen here. I still say he would make the perfect utility infielder. I'd like to see the Sox keep him in such a role. We definitely need a better starting 2B though.
  6. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 06:17 PM) I love Kenny. Ditto.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 05:15 PM) Isn't that exactly what I said? Yeah, but it's the way you said it!
  8. Probably just because Veal pitched yesterday so they figured at least Septimo is ready to go tonight if needed. I would have preferred Veal, but oh well...
  9. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 10:05 PM) I hope Myers pitches Monday so we can talk about that instead of this. Hear hear.
  10. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 03:00 PM) GB hitting is bulls***. We got 3 guys who can play 2nd. We need a starting second baseman who can hit. Gordon Beckham would be one of the best utility infielders in baseball. Then we wouldn't need to carry Escobar and Hudson on the roster.
  11. I wonder how many players would want to play for the Sox (or any particular team for that matter) if they found out how many POS wife beaters, rapists, child molestors, thieves, drunks, or just assholes in general were fans of that team that regularly attended games, watched them on TV or posted on that team's fan message boards?
  12. The cats in Bristol are sharp as a pistol, when they do the Bristol stomp.
  13. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 10:27 PM) Not an urban legend. I know the guy. Well if it's true it was a stupid question.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 06:57 PM) How about we drop the beating speculation as something people won't agree on, and get back to what Myers will be for the White Sox, and what we gave up to get him?
  15. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 07:47 PM) wasn't AJ the guy when someone asked if he was ok after being hit in the nuts... he responded by hitting the guy in the nuts and asking him if it feels ok? Urban legend.
  16. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 07:40 PM) Who are the players you want to replace? We could use a good hitting second baseman. We could also use a good hitting outfielder. This would allow Viciedo to DH in place of Dunn at times according to matchups.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 07:06 PM) the #WhiteSox will have scored 2 runs or less in six of their nine games since the break. Let's sell the farm for a starting pitcher rental! We need position players who can hit.
  18. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 05:45 PM) That's surprising to me. Not that its a big loss. Who is going to be the long man? Might need one tomorrow. Santiago would be my guess.
  19. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 05:44 PM) Axelrod sent to Charlotte That's weird.
  20. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 04:35 PM) Adam Dunn. Such a fearsome #3 hitter. Nice job, big man. Way to get it started. Sox need to trade for hitting, not pitching. A second baseman that can hit would be a welcome addition. Also, a good hitting outfielder that would allow Viciedo to DH at times, especially against LHP. If they could get someone to take Dunn in a trade, all the better but I doubt anyone would want him.
  21. I just hope with this move KW is finished using precious resources for pitching and now concentrates on getting some position players that can hit.
  22. QUOTE (Wedge @ Jul 16, 2012 -> 03:13 PM) I'd replace Hudson with Lilly. As we saw in the KC extra innings game, Hudson has 0 value to this team. Lilly is at least a solid baserunner. Agree 100%. If no one claims him before the Sox, it should be a no-brainer to reclaim him and dump Hudson.
  23. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 09:07 PM) I think the package to bring Dempster to the Sox is Castro, Jones and a low level prospect... Can't afford to lose Jones from the bullpen.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 08:49 AM) Because you don't want to use your top defensive replacements for a DH. It allowed Ventura to use Danks later to spell Viciedo. That really worked out well.
  25. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 10:35 AM) Its the regular lineup today.. AJ in = Sox win.
