That's quite an assumption.

Know your Sox: The Bust Bros
I remember when a couple of posters used to laugh at any post I made critical of either of these two back in the days when they were touted as major pieces of the "young championship core" LOL.

Poll: Predict Final Win Total for the 2024 Chicago White
I had to vote 62 - 70 from the categories given. But I think it will be somewhere between 69 -73. As I wrote in another thread, this is how I see this season going down: The White Sox surprise by hovering a couple of games under .500 for the first half of the season, led primarily by a monster first half by Yoan Moncada and a surprisingly healthy Eloy Jimenez. As the summer grinds on, poor managing by Pedro Grifol, faltering pitching, Eloy's inevitable injury, and selling off of Moncada and other flippable veterans cause the Sox to fall off and wind up with a total of between 69 and 73 victories which is still much better than most expected.

Sox looking at building in South Loop
This should be their next stadium. Noah's Park. They can dock at several points on the lakefront to pick up fans, then play the game while cruising Lake Michigan.

Going to Vegas for the weekend tomorrow...how many wins will the team have this year?

This Day In Sox History...December 15
Interesting stuff. I don't understand how Chuck could have remained the biggest shareholder through 1961. I always thought Bill Veeck was the biggest shareholder at that time. How did Veeck manage to control the team for two years if Chuck Comiskey was still the majority shareholder?

That must have been Kramer's friend.

Ohtani Watch: Dodgers sign - 700M over 10yrs
Your point is well taken, but again it comes down to Reinsdorf and his organization sucking. Regardless, Reinsdorf preemptively stated that they wouldn't even make an attempt to sign the best player in baseball.

Ohtani Watch: Dodgers sign - 700M over 10yrs
White Sox need desperately need starting pitching. White Sox desperately need Left Handed Power hitting. White Sox desperately need a superstar to attract interest and draw fans and make the team seem relevant. So of course, Reinsdorf has no interest in Ohtani. Reinsdorf sucks and so does his entire organization. And Sox fans are conditioned to just accept it.

What are the Sox trying to do here, really?
The worst day in the history of the franchise. Edit: Well, maybe the second worst. The worst day was when Einhorn and Reinsdorf bought the franchise.

I had season tickets to the Blitz in 1983, got pissed off and cancelled when they pulled the swap before the '84 season. I would be ecstatic if the Sox and Diamonbacks pulled a similar swap today, exchanging entire organizations but keeping the team names in their current cities. Too bad there's not a chance of that happening.
