  1. Because warm weather teams don't want all of there games in April and September when kids are back in school and they don't go to games.
  2. Nope. Sometimes they need to play to get there.
  3. Never said it was right. Just that it has always been his philosophy.
  4. My former employer (with the Marlins)!
  5. Always been his philosophy. Give the bench ayers regular time to keep them sharp and rest the regulars frequently to keep them sharp.
  6. That was my thought. They way the regulars played they should be on the bench.
  7. Why not. The offense hasn't exactly lot the world one fire, except for the one Sunday lineup.
  8. The silver lining being it kept Keuchals innings low.
  9. I thought you were going to try to be less negative? Don't fall off the wagon Moncada and Robert.
  10. Right but hiw many do you want pitching in a close game? They didn't need to use any if those because of the innings he took.
  11. Statistically it's not significant until game 155 or something like that.
  12. Everything is a small sample size unless it a full season.
  13. It helps in that he saves the bullpen by going 4 innings. May not be a game changer for this one but could be fir the next couple.
  14. Me too. For whatever reason my season tickets had me see Axelrod a lot.
  15. The aerobic conditioning and being able to throw 75 pitches are highly correlated. Pitching is mostly legs with the transfer of the forces up to the arm. If his legs are good there is less stress on the arm.
  16. Wouldn't help in the playoffs if he only threw 100-120 innings.
  17. Probably is the operative word. They didn't want to take the chance he would accept it.
  18. Yes. I have a Cuban sandwich and one of the beers before the game and a churro about the 6th inning.
  19. But then the Sox won't have him for the playoffs. I really don't think the Sox need him for the regular season. A rotation of Giolito, Lynn, Cease, Kopech, Keuchal, Velasquez and Lopez is enty for the regular season. I would have preferred another 4-5 type starter to get through the season but spending even 18 mil on Rodon was a luxury they couldn't afford.
  20. Hopefully, the fewer innings on the arm will allow far a better fresher pitcher at the end of the season.
  21. He wasn't hurt. Just over extended on innings and had nothing left.
  22. True too. They did say 2-3 starts. Thus would be his third correct
