  1. They may have. But I still don't disagree with the focus on pitching. Will find out if they signed the right ones.
  2. Can't wait for people to freak out with the first Vaughn and Sheets strikeouts.
  3. I'm not saying I agree with which pitchers they chose, as I don't know the market. However, I agree with the idea. Who says they aren't going g to get a backup catcher?
  4. Depends on the market for SP. If they devote all their resources to one spot, that will leave holes elsewhere. I can't pretend to know the market for all of the pitchers but pitching should be the priority .
  5. They are good at 7 out of 9 positions. Pitching should always take priority, especially when their lineup is in good shape.
  6. That's pretty strong considering the amount of time Robert and Jimenez missed.
  7. Thanks, I didn't know if there is a specific pitcher limit. The versatility of Garcia and Harrison will allow them to carry an extra pitcher early in the season when the workload of the starters will be very limited.
  8. I think some of it is the individual player. If they are a veteran they may cause issues if they are just sitting around. People don't like when TLR plays subs so frequently but some that is appeasing players.
  9. Right now the 5th OF is probably Garcia and Harrison. The advantage of their versatility is that they don't need the extra OF roster spot. Is there a limit on the number of pitchers a team can carry this year?
  10. If I read this right, at the end of a backloaded contract the cap hit is less than the actual contract, correct?
  11. You are probably right. That move will indicate their next move if any.
  12. Don't you think if there better offers he would have gone elsewhere? He came back to the Sox because woth his history, no one else would sign him.
  13. To get that lineup they would need to.
  14. 27 for 6 is still steep for 1B.
  15. Sure if the Sox had their revenue.
  16. True but Boras has a way of using current contracts and getting owners to change offers.
  17. I continue to disagree thise are the priorities. However do you think either of those would be cheap when they near the cap? Not saying I agree with everything they've done. But you aren't asking for easy additions.
  18. That team was not as good as this one and they've spent near the cap which was what everyone always asked for. You will be the person that if they win a world series you will be unsatisfied, call it luck and refuse to go to a game unless they add 3 more all star players.
  19. Not with the prices and length of contracts they are going for.
  20. Really, with a team this good? You really can't be happy no matter what they do.
  21. Just depends on your perspective. If the the big market contracts are out of reach, you go elsewhere.
