  1. Is it in the soft tissue or the bone. A soft tissue bruise is not an issue. A bone bruise can be. Those can take weeks if severe enough. Not that he couldn't play with it but it could limit him depending on where it is.
  2. This is still a ranking of demi-god under the one true religion of the United Church of Calderonists. Ivan Calderon, may he rest in peace.
  3. I thought they facts to be proven wrong not personal beliefs. Or can you prove personal beliefs wrong?
  4. The union will not fight for non-members. They would be doing a disservice to their current membership if they make concessions to the owners for non-members. It may even be illegal. It's not about the amount of money the owners would put towards the minors. It's more the fact that it gives the union more bargaining point if they owners do it. Again, I'm not disagreeing that it should be done. I just don't see it happening now when there appears to be a very hostile environment for the new CBA. Once the CBA gets done they may be able to work something out.
  5. I would think with about 1-2 weeks left in the season the regular lineup and rotation will return. Except for maybe Rodon he still concerns me as he has the wholw second half of the season.
  6. It's all well and good. I don't this as anyone's priority with the CBA negotiations coming up. How would it look for negotiations with the union if the owners just upped the MiLB money? The union would say that if they had extra money for that, they can surely make more concessions to the more important MLB players. Again, I'm not saying it isn't a good idea, its just poor timing and won't happen now.
  7. See they come out when they lose a couple.
  8. No doubt. Leffe is one of my favorite breweries.
  9. How many homeruns has he hit recently/green
  10. Got it. Some people don't get the difference between the two roles.
  11. As long as it doesn't overwork the bullpen with multiple bullpen days, I agree.
  12. The trainers have very little to do with the injuries that happen. Their job is to deal with injuries after they occur. You are wrong at blaming the trainers for something like this.
  13. Why is everyone saying he is hurt then?
  14. It's because of the spin follow through pits them in a bad fielding position while finishing. Keuchal is the only one who doesn't use it.
  15. The women's 400mh was unreal. Talk about a really talented 24 year old. The best was the 800m where gold and silver were by 19 year Olds. It's the golden age for middle distance. The diamond league races since the Olympics hasn't disappointed.
  16. The best athlete I ever worked with in professional sports (not including the olympic athletes as no one agrees with me on those) was Robin Yount. Not too many players can win an MVP as a shortstop, tear up his shoulder then win an MVP as a CF. He could do everything. He, like Griffey, started in the MLB as an 18 year old.
  17. I think you mean swelling. ?
  18. The dreaded right knee inflammation common in pitcher's. It's just a way to get him rest.
  19. It's the emphasis on being obvious or heavy underdogs to Houston. As soon as the next losing streak starts it will turn into this team has no chance and will lose in the first round again.
  20. If you've following the thread, you'll see it's a running joke about predicting doom in the playoffs.
  21. We would have been disappointed. Stick with they are heavy underdogs.
  22. Here's another one. I knew we could find one.
  23. White Sox and Brewers would be a great one to see. East coast and networks won't like it though
  24. I think Robert has a chance to impact the game like Robin Yount. He has that much talent.
