  1. Is he enough of an underslot for Kath?
  2. Really like those mechanics.
  3. Guilty, I bow down and repent.
  4. The MLB way of 10 lowest revenue and 10 smallest markets isn't bad but it seems to be missing some factors.
  5. Those are facebook/social media fans. I'm not sure that would be the criteria for media market. Seems to me that would be too easily manipulated by other teams. If you go by attendance St Louis is higher but Detroit much lower. It would need to be some algorithm of revenue generating factor to be fair.
  6. Yeah, I guess it would be interesting to see how that's defined. They are definitely small compared to NY, LA or Chicago.
  7. What other advantages? Seems to me that if they can't compete monetarily that providing them with better access to talent is a good alternative. The threshold is probably tough to figure out.
  8. Do you not think that in order for small markets with much less possibility for market revenue should get some advantages to try to compete with the large markets? Or should it be those with the most money have all the advantages?
  9. Yep. Everyone should count on one of these 2 being a bust.
  10. Pitching at the top last year. Hitting at the top this year. That's the advantage when the MLB team is successful and young
  11. Have you seen the rain in Chicagoland lately? It's an advantage.
  12. Stovall reportedly pulled his name from the draft and is attending Arkansas.
  13. One of the orthopedic surgeons I work with quite a bit has a son who has been the head analytics person for the draft for the last 3 years.
  14. Oops. Poster made it sound like it was recent.
  15. Left pec looks pretty even to the right. Good muscle definition and good rehab.
  16. The exit velocity would be a reason they like him. They cited that as a reason they drafted Burger.
  17. It's what happens when he played half of his games in Oakland.
  18. I'm sure they had that discussion and it will depend on the li experience construction on a given day. I agree he will be spending more time at DH.
  19. But is much easier in the arm and easier to generate velocity. Plusses and minuses to each one
  20. I would guess that he is throwing more on the side in less stressful situations so he is building up to it. So the 3-4 games is a good bet.
  21. I think they are saving the innings for starting later in the season
  22. Odds are that if it hasn't happened yet, it won't be cheap.
  23. I agree with not totally shutting him down but they need to really limit his innings. His next contract won't be worth much with more injuries or poor performance due to poor performance from fatigue.
  24. That would still be a lot if they want him to be effective in the post season, but it would be better than trying to push for a regular rotation and end up near 180.
