GT 5/29: ORIOLES @ SOX GAME 1
Yep. They don't care if he's worn down by the end of the season. They will have Jimenez and most likely Robert back by then.

Jace Fry starting AAA assignment
Because he hasn't thrown that many in a couple of years he only had 15 or so last year. He has already had a couple of times he needed to go on the IL. They won't risk the health of their 1st round pick.

GT 5/27: ORIOLES @ SOX
I don't believe this is true. There was a situation a couple of against Minnesota when Abreu tagged the bag, getting that runner, then threw to second to get the non=force double play. Stone and Benetti were saying that if Donalson had hustled home instead of dogging it the run would've counted. I think

Jace Fry starting AAA assignment
I think the plan is for 2023 for starting anyway. He can't go much more than 60 with his limited inning history.

"sticky substances"
Because it's not sticky enough to get a proper grip and they say there would be many hit batters and wild pitches if they do use "a little something else."

"sticky substances"
There's nothing wrong with telling players to change hats. Maybe I'm optimistic but maybe by confiscating this type of equipment they can settle on a standardized substance that can somehow be easily identified. This will be the next step once theyegalize a substance they will need an easy way to identify it as pitchers will continue to try to disguise their substance as the legal one. This problem will never end as pitchers as well as hitters will always try to get an advantage legal or not.

"sticky substances"
I wonder if he saw him doctoring the hat in the dugout. Maybe the MLB is telling them to watch? It just seems weird for how to police it.
-
"sticky substances"
I'm not sure either. I didn't watch the game. Maybe he was obvious with going to it. Or maybe it was just a Joe West thing.

"sticky substances"
I would agree with the situation. It's the comments after the game that it isn't the job of the umpires. I'm not really sure whose job it is then. Does the league just pick out hats and gloves from video to confiscate?

"sticky substances"
I really don't understand why schildt thinks it's not the job of umpires to deal with foreign substances. The pitcher was asked to change hats not to leave the game.

Updates on Kopech
The Sox seem to have a lot of awkward injuries this year. Difficult to explain.

Rodon
I was trying to explain what happened to Rodons shoulder and why he may be a risk for an extended contract and it got really weird.
-
Rodon
Scar tissue doesn't just form from nothing. Some tissue that is already there has to be injured to from a scar. In this case it's the bursa. There is no other tissue in the subacromial area that would from into scar tissue if the rotator cuff and labrum are normal.
-
Rodon
And what tissue was chronically inflamed that it became scar tissue and needed to be removed..........the bursa. It says it right in your explanation.
-
Rodon
Many pitchers are pitching with missing many tissues in their shoulders. Once they have a surgery the anatomy is never normal again.
-
Rodon
And in this case it was the bursa. Everything else was deemed to he normal.
-
Rodon
You did not answer 2a as you did not state what was debrided. The bursa was debrided hence it was a bursectomy. In this case the bursa was the tissue that was debrided. The bursa is the only tissue other than the rotator cuff and the labrum In the subacromial space or suprahumeral space depending on which definition you want to use.
-
Rodon
Obviously you didn't read the article as this was not the context in which it was used. Recurrence in this case is the bursa reforming and it was removed. Some words have more than one meaning.
-
Rodon
Sorry. I will stop derailing the thread now.

Rodon
I have no idea what this means. Not every procedure is done for every condition. Let's go over the facts 1. The reports are he had a debridement. 2. Reports are the rotator cuff and labrum were normal 2a. If those were normal what was debrided? The only thing left for a bursitis patient is the bursa. This is also a common procedure done for what Rodon had going on. Edit: Sorry I didn't see the first part. Yes it does. It clearly states that in only 1 of 60 was there a reoccurrence of the bursa and it was abnormal and needed to be removed.
