  1. That would be a good idea if the prospect in question had any value. Neither player will be a long term solution and since they already signed slater to a deal it's not worth cutting a guy for another player they are going to cut.
  2. Now that would be a good idea. Thats what the last few trades have been about. Neither the kid or Slater qualify as potential talent. Like you said since it's a wasted year when everyone knows they are going to be bad, neither really matter.
  3. That's fine. You don't need to understand it it. Different people have different views on what to do with the wasted year. In the end it's all about biding time until the prospects are ready. Or until they are ready to sign actual good players.
  4. No, he is not a prospect thus prospect experts wouldn't be commenting in him.
  5. That's fine you don't need to be convinced. Im going by what the propect experts have said.
  6. Crystal ball in regards to the comment about "and he's injured" Read the paragraph where Crystal ball is mentioned
  7. Ok. Still better than the kid.
  8. Possibly. Most likely better than the kid. He was with Baltimore last year so fuller probably saw something. Did you look at his platoon stats? Forgot the crystal ball factor to include knowing he was going to be injured.
  9. Didnt hear it from him. Mostly prospect evaluators on podcasts.
  10. Yes because the kid has nearly no chance by all reports and Slater will give professional at bats for minimal cost. If there was even one person who gave him a chance to be a mlb regular i would give have a chance. But I didn't hear a single one.
  11. That's fine. I would just the other way.
  12. All of the prospects people say that he wasn't worth it as the swing and miss was too great. Hence the reason he only brought back cash. It's a valid point though. At least Slater had a track record of some mlb value.
  13. This is an honest question. Not trying to be a troll. Do you really believe that Getz thinks Slater is better than Soto, Santander or Hernandez? Or is it more likely that he is doing what he can with the budget JR gave him including all of the organizational improvements?
  14. Ill wager that the organization is spending the same amount over the last few years. It's just that kw and Hahn spent everything on players salaries and nothing on the infrastructure. Getz came along and decided to bite the bullet for a couple of years to build the infrastructure and spend there while not spending on player salaries.
  15. It is much less of an issue. Still need to least allow a callus to form.
  16. Bad break 😀 I would bet it's closer to the 4 weeks with the way they are describing it.
  17. I couldn't have come up with some of those. I just remembered that one. However, I can't remember my two kids names. 😁
