Could be a way to raise capital to help fund something like they are doing around the United center as well. Done right it could increase that valuation for a family sell.

I left after 99.
-
No. He was after as well. I think he was there about the same time as Cabrera but I could be wrong.
-
He was there after I left, too bad I would have liked to have seen him.
-
Cool. I was there as help as extra help in the training room. It was a fun place. Lots of future MLB. Kevin millar, Ryan dempster, Antonio alfonseca luos Castillo, Mike Redmond, Edgar Renteria, Mark kotsay. They had some really good players back then
-
I sure was. He was married to her when I talked to him at comiskey. Got to meet her. Absolutely, stunning.
-
He was there when i was. I didn't remember him but saw him later when he was with the Sox and we talked about it.

Kane county still plays in Batavia. I worked there when they were the Marlins Low A affiliate.

You can stick with the intent hate the owner narrative all you want. I'm referring to the league as a whole compared to the other leagues in pro sports. I f the league wants to have a truly competitive league they need to have revenue balance between teams. This is why all other leagues have true revenue sharing.
-
It is if you want a competitive league. Personally, doesn't matter. But if someone wants to complain about not having competitive teams then they should want something closer to the revenue sharing model.
-
The key comment is to have a revenue sharingbstucture in place like the other sports. Baseball is the only group that treats the teams unfairly. All others sports realize that to be competitive they need to be on a more level playing field. Pun intended.

Better than later career Jamie moyer at 79.

I agree. There are many factors that go into signing a player to a long term contract not just talent, whether it be injury history, desire to improve, motivation etc. Hahn picked the wrong ones.
-
Could be or they could be using the brace as an attempt to let the UCL rest and heal.
-
As they should.
-
Maybe they know there are other reasons as to why he can't stay healthy like work ethic, chemical enhancements, extent of previous injuries etc.
-
Injuries tend to do that.

I thought this only happened to the White Sox.

If the rest of the league does that except in the case of a significant tear then it's borderline malpractice. There are plenty of cases where they won't do it right away. Rest and rehab is the proper protocol. Surgery is always the last resort. In this case he will be ready for spring training either way. Even if they did it right away, he wasn't going to be ready for 2025.
-
Even if did happen in September, if he rehabs for 2 months on the fast end and decides on surgery, the earliest he would be back is the end of August, more likely Sept/Oct. He misses the season even in the best case scenario. Having surgery now, he is still ready for spring training next year. Either way he misses 2025.
-
He would have missed it either way with a 9-12 month rehab. Better to try the conservative route first
-
Usually about 25% or so. It's more based on the special tests and how much laxity is involved. If it's a complete tear they will do surgery right away but those are rare. Those are from traumatic injuries like falling or car accidents. Most ligaments heal. There a few exceptions but the UCL isn't one of them.
-
Always do a couple of months of rest and rehab first I know the majority of people on here just want to cut and push the athletes like pieces of meat but they are people. You avoid surgery at all costs, first.

Been talking about it for a while. Hence everyone knows there the odds of having a 2027 season continue to dwindle.
