Thorpe is TBD for spring training??
Unfortunately, no medical procedure or rehab is guaranteed or linear in process. It could very well be that after taking the recovery time, he is just building up the arm and he won't pitch early on. What they were able to do with Crochet was ground breaking and an outstanding achievement. It's worth keeping an eye on.

Jeff Torborg Passes
Another great guy gone. He was good to everyone similar to Ueck. He will be missed.

RIP Bob Uecker
This is sad. What a great guy. As a student we would sit in LF with a Uecker's Pukers, we’re not leavin' til we're heavn' sign. He would always acknowledge us. When i worked for the Brewers he was great even to the lowest employee. He will be missed.

Yep, it will be a way to get experience with keeping the innings down. Just a few appearances similar to iriarte this year.

Teoscar Hernandez signs with the Dodgers
I know a percentage local media revenue is shared among all mlb teams. Is there a way to find out this? I know many teams lost a significant amount due to some rsn going bankrupt.

I said at the time that Odunze is the popular pick but the better pick for the team and Caleb was the best OL available.

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
Those did well too. Got good odds early in the year when they had a lead in the 7th.
-
Way too early wins poll
I agree. I enjoy baseball and I think the second half of this year will be interesting to watch as the prospects come up. Will they be any good? You knows.

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
I made a good bit of money betting on them last year. Of course is was to lose each game.

Get those tickets NOW! (LOL)...
I'm going to that too.

Eloy Jimenez signs minor league deal with Tampa Bay
Absolutely. The highest predictor of an injury is a previous injury. And not just the same injury.

Eloy Jimenez signs minor league deal with Tampa Bay
Yeah, that torn pec really seem to either change his swing or really effect his strength. Not sure what happened as that is one he should have been able to recover from.

White Sox hire Phil Nevin as Special Assistant in Player Development
I agree. True discussions have left.

Pitching injuries study...
No doubt. But like someoneelse posted. That's what the MLB teams want as it the best way to get outs. Even though it's hard on the pitchers and decreases the longevity of pitchers.

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
True. But if your definition of success it a world series title you will be consistently disappointed unless you are a fan of LA or NY. At least until the salary cap is put in place after the lockout in 2026.

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
Didn't that lead to two playoff appearances? I'll take that. But of course it can't be successful this time around. Not sure why you even discuss anything if you are positive nothing will work.

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
True. Which is why they revamped the entire organization. However, the pitching wasn't too bad. It was more the offense being historically bad. The organization now boasts a top 5 or so minor league system. No guarantee they can do anything with it, but I'm interested to see what the new group can do.

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
Really, the owners signed and developed that poor offense? Decided to make crochet a starter? There were substantial changes in the organization if you prefer to stick to the narrative of "no matter what changes are made, the Sox won't win until there is a new owner" enjoy yourself. I know you won't change the narrative and give new people a chance. Personally, i just understand that reasoning.

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
Doesn't seem like it to me. If you are going to pin everything even the poor offense down to the ownership so be it. That group is the only one left.

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
They aren't new titles. They are new positions and a new organizational structure to bring the team at least into this century. I understand why people don't want to believe that it will work. What I don't understand is why people automatically default to it's the white sox so it won't work.

I disagree. I dont think he was trying to build a contender. They said it wasn't a rebuild but everyone knows it really is. They weren't going to say, "we are trying to suck." They will be bad this year but it's going to be with mostly young players getting experience to be good in a couple of years.
