I don't know your background but if you'ver been around baseball long enough you should know some people just can't do it. It's nice to say it but sometimes it's just not possible and you rob them of power. By the way, many people in the MLB community criticize Walker for teaching the Charlie Lau theory of hitting too much and robbing them of power. Just food for thought.

The only way I put Politte in the deal is if we get Mota. Mota is a closer (protection for Hermanson +a closer for next year), Politte while good is pitching over his head and not a closer.

Three starters to go deep in games is all we need. But we can always use bullpen help, especially with the cranky back of hermanson. Pitching and defense, pitching and defense.

It is this motion from a guy 275+ lbs that causes the pain and inflammation.

If anything he may be guilty of trying to do too much with pain. He probably shouldn't have come back this soon.

There were far too mny other things going on and he shouldn't have come back as soon as he did, for his overall health. Now, we know that the team's winning takes priority so they gave it a try and he was able to contribute for a little while. They'll try it again for the stretch run and playoffs. Hopefully with another off season of rehab he will be able to return to playing full time.

Frank will probably come back in Sept. and deal with the pain in his foot the best he can...again. He will get ready for Oct. with a few weeks of work. The inflammation is an on going problem as a result of the surgery. The surgery was a possible career ender and still may be if the inflammation doesn't stay at a minimal level. I hope it goes down enough that he can continue to play as he is one of my favorites but with the way the rehab and recovery has gone pessimism is the order of the day.
