I'd still take Lee over Pods any day, even in hindsight.

This whole thing assumes that there's something wrong with steroids. And there's not. I wish more players did them.

ECW, despite the ending, was good. The title match gets made No DQ just before they make their way to the ring. Edge comes down to the commentary position. Punk takes the turnbuckle cover off at the beginning of the match. Chavo works over Punk's ribs pretty well. Chavo hits the turnbuckle cover, Punk hits the GTS, Edge runs into the ring and spears him. Chavo crawls over and gets the pin. All the heels celebrate. It sucks for Punk but it does a couple of very good things for him. 1) It sets up him chasing the title - which is better drama, and as long as he's a face - the money is always in the chase. 2) It allows him to move to Smackdown or Raw following Wrestlemania. 3) It sets up a potential feud for Edge after he's done with Undertaker - without going into spoilers, Punk does seek his revenge on Friday night. 4) It allows him to be in the MITB match at Wrestlemania, which didn't make a whole lot of sense with him having the title. Same for the Royal Rumble. All in all, this is good for Punk, provided WWE creative uses these things and doesn't forget about him.

1. It's a ROAST. It's supposed to be crude and offensive. 2. F--- Jesus.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 12, 2008 -> 04:59 PM) I really thought he was finished the way he was talking. Didn't he do some bitter interviews towards the WWE after he left? No, he didn't. He never said anything bad about them. His back was bothering him and apparently now it's better.

QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jan 10, 2008 -> 03:28 PM) Like the complete squash of King Booker at SummerSlam right? Or dominating Regal this past Monday? It seems that he only does things that's right for him and his buddies. They could've easily had Regal go back to the heel he once was, and turn it into a pretty good match at the Rumble. But he killed any hopes of that this past Monday. He also could of easily done the job against Flair. It wouldn't of hurt HHH's character at all. Who did it hurt for Trips at Summerslam? It was his return match! He's not gonna lose that. And Booker was a heel! Regal is not a draw - putting him in a ppv match with HHH is a joke. And they didn't NEED him to lose to Flair - so what's the problem? .......some people will complain no matter what you do..........

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 11, 2008 -> 10:47 AM) I saw MCR open for Face To Face a few years ago, and the F2F fans were NOT happy about My Chemical Romance being on the bill. They were complaining about the number of "posers" in line to see MCR and the fact that having them on the bill made tickets harder to get. I hadn't heard of them, so I asked one kid what they were like. He said, "You'll like them if you're into SUPER-SCARY VAMPIRES!!" (bold green added to reflect his sarcasm, since the eye-rolly smiley is gone) I haven't heard the 1234 song, so I can't comment on it. Did you like them - how was their performance?
-
I like that 1234 song. And I have to come clean about something. A friend gave me the last My Chemical Romance album - I have no idea what they look like, and I've never seen any of their videos, and they get a lot of s*** from posters I've seen, but this album is great. Good fast catchy songs - what more do you want? It's in major rotation on my ipod.

QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 08:15 PM) per The Observer Trips is the most hated man in the locker room at the moment, lately because he refused to put over Ric Flair in North Carolina. He's also been reported as being against Jericho being back, especially since Stephanie McMahon was one of the main people pushing for him to be back. I don't buy that for a second. He put over Jeff Hardy at the PPV! Why would Vince want him to get pinned two matches in a row? That's just stupid. Ric escapes - that's the storyline. The Regal ending played into that. Also, Trips is out of the Royal Rumble. Geez..... sometimes the guy gets no credit. Trips has done what's right for the business for YEARS now.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 01:08 PM) I like where they are going with William Regal's character where are they going with it? just seems weird to me..........

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 12:47 AM) I disagree about any of it "ruling", but it's nice that they played for charity. In my opinion, no band has fallen further from their height than Metallica, with the possible exception of the Goo Goo Dolls and Aerosmith. Not in terms of popularity or sales, but in terms of my enjoyment of what they do. Metallica was my favorite band by a long shot (bad pun intended ), but that seems like forever ago now. It happens to most bands. How could ANYONE top Master of Puppets?

QUOTE(Reddy @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 01:57 AM) even though he's the exact opposite....? i understand y'all don't like trial lawyers apparently, but i'm staying right now with a doctor who is a die hard edwards supporter. hmmm interesting that he doesn't fault him for his career choice. Edwards, if you actually talked to the man - if you actually listened - is the most genuine candidate i think we've seen in a long time. why is it that every other candidate keeps stealing his ideas, platforms, even speeches? Yesterday i heard Clinton say "this is very personal for me". Straight out of John Edwards. Obama said "I walk the walk". Straight out of John Edwards. The health care plans? Edwards came up with it first - they took it and called it their own. He's been a leader on almost every issue but he's not black and he's not a woman so the media didn't care. He also is against the giant corporate conglomerates that RUN the media... so they have a stake in him losing. look - yesterday i met some incredible people. people with nothing - literally clawing to survive. a house made of wooden shingles and a tin roof. IN AMERICA. These people have been thrown by the wayside. The husband of a couple i met lost his job cuz he was hurt. Now he's "supporting" his family off of SS. for how long? and is that enough? no. They told me about friends dying because they didn't have health insurance. I talked with him and his wife for half an hour yesterday and when i left i was near tears because it was that heartbreaking. I've never been so inspired in my life This is who Edwards is fighting for. These people NEED this man. Obama can't do it - doesn't have the balls. Clinton can't do it - she just doesn't care about these people. You all can bicker all you want about this that and the other, but right now I'm out here fighting for people with nothing and i'm fighting against huge odds to get a man into office who can change this country. Y'all might think i'm a bit crazy - but sometimes you need crazy people out there if you want to actually accomplish something. Second that thing about admiring you for working for your guy. Very cool. Why didn't he run for Senate again?

that Diva segment was sooooooooooooooo dumb. what a freaking waste. At least, use the roulette wheel to give us something good. Hardy/Umaga shouldn't have been the only good thing last night.

it was an acoustic BENEFIt show - get off it. Also, the acoustic version of Disposable Heroes rules.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 08:55 PM) I'll put my two cents in here on the fact that Hillary got emotional. That moment is most human side of Hillary that I've seen from her. She has always, imo, comes across as 'the iron lady' and this kind of shows a chink in her armor. In fact, I think this incident will help her rather than hurt her. Agreed. And Edwards has that smarmy trial lawyer delivery down pat - and that's not good. A lot of people see him as the "say anything to get elected" type.
-
no, we'll have one, and I think it looks like it'll be Romney with all his second-place finishes. Doesn't he win with the points?
-
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 01:35 PM) Then why does she discount the many years of experience of Obama and Edwards? They did quite a bit out of college. It's not like they worked at Service Merchandise up until a couple of years ago. Wow, Service Merchandise. That brings back memories..........

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jan 6, 2008 -> 01:22 PM) Because it's not the general election, it's a PARTY primary and there are national, state, and local implications. Don't see why that proves me wrong. If they're all on the same day, we'd know instantly who the candidates were, and with candidates forced to talk to the largest populations, small states get screwed. At least, I hope.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 6, 2008 -> 01:36 PM) Because us Iowans are awesome, that's why. Iowans might be okay, but Iowa f***ing sucks. that's the troof! what a wasteland...........
