  1. QUOTE(moneyman6544 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 01:22 PM) Before Olivo made the team a few years back, his number was like 70 sumthing There was another catcher for the Sox that had a 70 something number.
  2. I love these Chicago style votes.
  3. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 02:06 AM) Did you see the game day thread? The last page of it was enough for me.
  4. The way Podsednick has been talking, he realizes what went wrong last year and has refocused on just getting on base. I don't think he'll be swinging for the fences this year.
  5. Wow, you people are argumentative today. LOL .... We were talking about pitchers. Starting pitchers to be exact.
  6. QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) Hey Juggy HOLY CRAP man that's in depth. But they main thing is it's optimistic, which I like. Are you a meterologist, a physicist, and a stats geek ? All sounds good to me. Hope does spring eternal. I'd guess he was a politician. :rolly
  7. All I'm saying is don't put a lot of weight to an early ST start .... especially in Arizona. Our "big signing" of El Duque has been horrid down there.
  8. This guy sounds like a man that can get things done! Good job deezpac.
  9. Because AJ was such an asswipe with the Twins is exactly why I wanted KW to sign him.
  10. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 12:44 AM) True but are we paying them seven million dollars either? Also, millwood is gonna have a rough transition from the national league to the american league in my opinon. Last year was not exactly so great for him. His era will hover around five all year i am thinking. The money does not matter now. It's what they do between the lines.
  11. QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 12:15 AM) Thanks Yas . Joel Horlen and Ken Berry (CF) were my favorite Sox players from that 1967 team. I was 9 years old. Reading it brought back a lot a names from those teams that I will always think of as Sox players. I guess we must be sum of the old timers on this website since there hasnt been much interest in this thread. By the way I like your Blackhawk head with the tear . Reminds me of the old TV commercial with the old Native American crying about pollution. Hey, I forgot about that old commercial with the Indian. I was 9 years old that summer as well. Talk about a heartbreaking end to a season. Man, did that one hurt. I always liked Ken Berry as well. He was probably my favorite non-pitcher on the club that year.
  12. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 12:09 AM) I hope they are happy with their ''big'' signing. Our guys haven't been exactly flawless on the mound either.
  13. The only autographed card I have is a Joe Torre '83 Topps. He was the manager of the Braves then, and when he autographed it he was manager in St. Louis. In other words, I had him autograph a common card.
  14. Wow. Illinois, Kentucky and Kansas all going down today. If this was 2 weekends from now, everybody's brackets would be screwed. LOL
  15. OK guys, I got another question for you? If UNC beats Duke does Illinois lose it's overall number 1 seed. Will they still get to do they Indy, Chicago, StL trifecta?
  16. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 03:01 PM) I started snagging the 1972 Fisk Rookies off of ebay the last few years. I have about 5 or 6 now. What's your reasoning for collecting these Fisk rookie cards?
  17. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 03:02 PM) This is his 1973 Topps All Rookie 2nd year card. I have almost every Fisk card from 1972 on. Me too. There's over 100 different Fisk cards.

A Michael Moore point of view is an irrelevant point of view. :headshake
  19. I'll still take my all "end in Z" team. Anyone named Rodriguez, Hernandez, Fernandez, Perez, Ordonez, etc.
  20. QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 02:04 PM) I'm going to go the opposite of everyone else's opinion and say that I wouldn't even trade Curry for the number one pick. NO MORE ROOKIES. This team needs to grow together. Skiles refuses to play Curry and I hate him for it. Curry can't get better if he is rotting on the bench every 4th quarter. Skiles is a terrible player development coach and I'm calling for his ass to get fired if he doesn't give Curry more playing time. At this point the Bulls need to do whatever possible to keep Curry. If they don't he will be another Artest or Brad Miller and completely blossom elsewhere. A terrible player development coach? Seems to me he's been the only coach to get anything out of Curry and Chandler. He's certainly developed the young players on this team to make them competitive in the NBA. Curry needs exactly what he's getting. It's called tough love. Make him EARN his minutes. No entitlements in the NBA.
  21. I'm getting nothing on the WMVP audio stream. Are there any other links that I can hear this game?
