Throw all logic out the window. Everything I've read is that Evans preferred Nomar and was waiting till the ARod deal went down so he could swoop in and get Nomar. KW backdoored him, but Evans definitely preferred Nomar.

I am basing that on the many media reports that Evans, not Dodger fans, prefers Nomar over Maggs.
