To start with, the Yanks are moving Johnson to make room for Bernie Williams as DH, with Giambi playing 1B. So there is no logical reason for them to take on Konerko. From the Yankees point of view, it make no sense whatsoever. Trading Maggs for Soriano would be difficult for me to do. I'm not sure Soriano is going to keep putting the numbers he has. I think he'll backslide some, and settle in at that level. Just call that a hunch. Trading Maggs, though, does open up the payroll situation. What scares me though, is if the Yanks offer Siriano and Weaver for Maggs and a prospect, I think KW will jump on it. I don't want to see that head case in a Sox uniform.

I think you'll find a lot of people in here that think Carlos was our best position player last year. As I said, I'll stick with Lee.

Hell, I have to drive 2 hours to get to a decent airport (Nashville). I might as well just drive to Chicago. Very true, since I live about 3 mins from the Louisville airport, I'm in Chicago in about 50 mins via flight. Much better than driving. That sounds like a pretty good set up. Much more convenient than my situation.

McKeon is making the only decision he can make. He's going with his best two pitchers in games 6 & 7 of the World Series. That's a no brainer. As for long term damage to those guys. That's BS.
