From the moment I read Steff's post about needing screen cleaner through the end of this thread, I've been laughing my ass off.

That just seems like a complete contradiction of itself to me. That's why I pointed out the obvious. It is NOT a contradiction. Mathew said it best! SOS does NOT dictate the outcome of a season, nor does it give a team an "upper hand" in a divisional race. Thus, you shouldn't get nervous over the difference of our SOS, since KC could very well lose to teams like Tampa and Baltimore. I happen to totally disagree.

With KC's pitching, I don't see how they can possibly hang in there all year. But you have to give Pena all the credit in the world. He's done a great job with that team this year, and may be able to bring them home at the end.

Old Comiskey was truly a beautiful ballpark. It's a shame that Wrigley is so honored when in reality, it's a piece of crap compared to old Comiskey Park.

I don't read the whole damn board before post anything. If I "stepped on your toes", I'm sorry. LOL its okay. And i quote frank........."i was pressing" ........what a loser. Careful ... Roman will be up in arms over that remark. LOL Since u didnt read what i wrote a few days ago andi cant remember the words...i will summarize. If frank is "pressing" in a series against the royals in July, NO WONDER HE ALWAYS CHOKES IN THE PLAYOFFS. That about sums it up.

Well Danny Wright and Mike Porzio have had their sot at it. Josh Stweart was not bad, early, but he's back on the DL. That leaves Cotts or Rauch, in my opinion.

And that came back to me the other day when Frank, talking about his 0 for whatever streak, said that it was a big series and he tried to do too much. That is exactly what happened against Seattle in '00 and if he doesn't learn from this and stay within himself, it will happen again.

It's definitely not better than the a's big 3 (4 really) This year they're just as good, if not better. In the regular season, its close. However, i prefer to choose history when evaluating players, and the oakland trio is much better. Not to mention, they have much more playoff experience. Really, its a no brainer. 100% accurate!

Colon Buehrle Loaiza but, either way, its a strong 3 That'd be my 1-2-3 too. Game 3 in a 5-game set is the most important game. In game 3, you can clinch a series, you can become 1-win a way from clinching, you can get back into the series by winning that game, or you can lose that game and be done. No other game in a 5-game set means more, except possibly game 5, and I don't consider that the most important game because that game is not going to necessarily be played. If a game 5 is involved, then that is the most important game in a 5-game set, for obvious reasons. What I like about our 1-2-3 is the fact that all of them are big games pitchers. How many big games(big games meaning almost must wins) have these guys won this year? How many times have they turned the ship around? I really like our chances if we get to the playoffs, because of these 3. I say game 1 is the most important game. If you are down 2-0, well game 3 is important for you now, but then 4 is, and then 5. Same if you are up 2-0. Get the lead, make the team take 3 of 4. The most important game is ... the last one. Whether it's 3, 4 or 5.

Plus when not injured at Charlotte he's gone 0-3 with an era of 6.15. I would discount that because he hasn't been right since taking that line drive off the chest while pitching for the Sox. I agree. It's a shame, because Josh wasn't ineffective while in Chicago.

Do we get to face the A's new Boy Wonder?
-
Danny Wright sure doesn't seem to be able to do the job this year. Someone that gets the shot, has got to step up. Will it be Cotts? Rauch? Who knows, but someone better do it.

We should have had Colon stick one in Mayne's ear tonight. And if Difelice played instead of Mayne, well that would suffice as well.

I'll have to give him some credit for one thing. Even though it cost us the first game of KC series, he was RIGHT to take Garland out of that game. They (JM and Coop) have been preaching at JG about bearing down all the time. Finish the batter, inning, game... he gets close to doing any ofg those things and then he lets up. When Garland gave up the single on an 0-2 count to start the 6th, JM removed him in an attempt to get his attention. Well, Jonny G got pissed off, so it must have worked. Now. maybe, he'll get a killer instinct on the mound. We'll see, but I like that fact that JM is trying to make him develope that.

Welcome to soxtalk bbbbbb77. Thanks for the bay area perspective on the upcoming series.
