MOTHERF*CKING B*TCHASS DIPSHIT PASSIONLESS SOX!!!!
YASNY replied to BridgeportHeather's topic in Pale Hose Talk
As HSC pointed out, we have guys that can run. They have enough speed. It's simply the fact that the stolen base has not been a major part of the Sox offense for a while. We have had too many boppers to make the SB a viable option. In most cases, it wouldn't make sense to attempt one, as the chance is always there for the long ball with our lineup. -
Can't be the Tigers... unless you ae a very optimistic Tiger fan. LOL

I'm strongly considering coming up this weekend when the M's are in town. Gonna have to check on a few things first... like the weather. We'll see what happens.

That's why I asked for 5 wins a month.

MOTHERF*CKING B*TCHASS DIPSHIT PASSIONLESS SOX!!!!

I don't think lack of team speed is our problem. Our bats and our bullpen has not performed anywhere close to expectations. These were supposed to be the strengths of our ballclub. It's a wonder we aren't sucking as bad as Minnesota right now. -
He's had a great month, that's for sure. Let's hope he can keep it going. Just 5 wins a month from him is all I ask.

I agree. The "Terrence Mann" speech sure summed up how I feel about the game.
-
I don't know anything about his coaching ability, but I sure liked Greg Walker as a hitter when he was with the Sox.

I had been lurking at WSI when HSC broke the Koch thing and what she says is true. I was member over there, stopped posting there after a few weeks. This was before the 2002 season. Basically, when HSC said she was coming over here, I checked this site out. I guess you all know by now that liked it here and decided to stay.

Defined roles? Let's see here, they are all major league pitchers, so therefore their "defined role" should be that when they take the mound, they should get batters out. That is all the defined role they need.

Fisk? .... Now where have I heard his name mentioned before?

Playoff hockey is a whole different animal than the regular season. The intensity is awesome.

I believe that any QB the Bears picked would be compared to McNown. No one deserves that. Let Grossman write his own legacy.

The Dixie Chicks, Robbins, Sarandon (one of my favorites, BTW) have got no reason to b**** and moan when people react to what they say. They crossed the line and went into the political arena when they are nothing but entertainers. Once they opened that door, then they reap what they sow. Tough s***. Now, to the real important stuff.... where can I find these pics of the Dixie Ckicks?

New England is attempting to acquire the #2 pick from Detroit so that they can move up and take Robertson. They have offered both their 1st round picks and their 2nd rounder for the #2 pick. The Lions also want a 3rd round pick in the deal. OK, so wait a minute.... New England offered the Bears both those 1st round picks for #4 overall, but wanted our #35 pick also? Now they are willing to give up those two 1st rounders, and a 2nd rounder for the #2 pick? Yet, they've been eyeballing Robertson the whole time. Why is Robertson that valueable when he is picked with Detroits pick, and not ours? Let's hope Robertson is still there when the Jets pick. We can use another decent player from the 2nd round.

That "lefty-righty" thing is a big part of the Sox problems. Take opening day against KC for example. Hernandez got into a groove, and had righty after righty come up to the plate. Sure, the guys at the top of the order were lefties (switch), but are they the guys that put fear in a pitcher's heart, or doubt in their head? No, not really. These pitchers get comfortable pitching to a string of right handed hitters. They can hit the same spots over and over for their out pitch. They don't even have to think, jus keep doing what they've been doing. We need someone in the middle of the lineup that can drive in a 100 runs from the left side. And if we can get equal value out of PK, or Carlos Lee, and the guy we receive be a lefty, then we need to do it. There has to be othe teams out there besides the Twins that are heavily left handed and could use some pop from the right.

I know that there is no way in hell that this could happen, but I'd love to Carlton Fisk become the manager of the Sox. Even Frank would have to give Pudge due respect.

For the record, White told Cooper that he could use a day off, not that he was sick. Cooper responded that they'd try and get him one soon. White owed it to his team to tell the whole story. Then, when the manager has ALL the pertinent information, he can "theoretically" make an intelligent decision. Because White failed to tell them about the upset stomach, he denied JM the opportunity to make the correct decision.
-
The manager IS supposed to be the leader... in the clubhouse. For the most part, KW shouldn't even be in there. Sorry, HSC, but I think this one falls in JM's lap.
-
Hang in there, Jason. You'll get it. BTW, I think it's a damn good idea.

This off topic board sure covers a wide variety of topics.

geez heather you jinxed the shut out last night in the chatroom by talking about it and now you just ensured the collar for maggs tonight..YOU DONT TALK ABOUT THESE THINGS!!! i like this version of magglio...no huge games but no collars either..just a steady consistant performance And the streak ends.... it's all Heather's fault.

Someone with a higher ERA.... like Randy Johnson.

Yep. Not much he can do, not like they'll just change their mind and call it a homer, just because Manuel yelled at them. Someone is going to say they lost this game, because Manuel didn't show enough fire. But at this point I'd like to see Backman up here. You guys are totally missing my point. The goal of the arguement isn't to overturn the call. Once the call is made that is it. The object is to get your own team fired up and take away the punch in the stomach that you just recieved by losing a 2 run HR to incompetence. YOu are standing up for your player. That is the other point. im not missing your point..im just not gonna get upset aboutnit because i know how manuel is...he is not gonna change...he is into this spiritual existance thats one with the universe...might be great for him as a human being but it sux for him as a manager...but he wont change so why worry about it?? ive been on the wally backman / nick leyva bandwagon since about july of last year..thats all i can do about that How come Zen was great for Phil Jackson and sucks for JM?
