Watched Worlds Greatest Dad with Robin Williams. Nice twisted dark comedy. Nice to see Williams not doing movies like RV.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 8, 2010 -> 01:51 PM) So, you want vinyl? There are a few local places around here that have vinyl. I can look around if you like. I have some record stores in Chicago that I go to. I also find stuff on ebay too.

What's your resolution?
QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 8, 2010 -> 12:25 PM) What do you have already? I've been into Slayer for a while. Been listening to Venom lately. Old metal records can be expensive, I thought old punk records were pricey.

Listen to more heavy metal. It's a genre of music that i've been getting more into. So I want to buy old metal records this year.

The Suburbs
First step would be to pick which general area you would like to live in. North suburbs, West suburbs and south suburbs. I just moved to the south suburbs. Mount Greenwood. It's a nice town. You get the best of both worlds. A little city and a little suburbs. Close knit, but you still can have a yard and some space. You could find some nice places for 200k - 250k. Try using www.redfin.com. Its a cool website to look up houses for sale.

It's cold outside
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jan 7, 2010 -> 01:29 AM) I feel like everyone is in a uniform in Winter around Chicago. Everyone has black north face jackets. Hell I actually own one. I picked up a columbia last year just to be a bit different when my last North Face needed replacement. We are going to pick up the wife a new jacket at the end of the season ( when we usually buy our winter coats ). I will have to add Patagonia into the mix. I was in a Target once and there was this group of people together and they all had on North Face jackets. They were just shopping, not part of any North Face promo team or something. It was odd.

Catch All Anything Thread
QUOTE (kapkomet @ Jan 7, 2010 -> 10:26 AM) We're supposed to have the longest period of below freezing tempratures in 25 years. 72 hours. That's actually crazy for Dallas. I saw a bunch of places in the south were getting hit with really cold weather. Just remember it could be worse. Iowa is getting -50 wind chills.

Knit hat. Thick winter socks. German Military jacket. Warm, but it's heavy. Big hood also.

The Democrat Thread
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 30, 2009 -> 09:40 AM) How dare the Dixie Chicks bash the President during a time of war! And to do so while not even inside this country, that's despicable. Oh wait, not the Dixie Chicks, the Nuge. Everyone knows he loves America, he's a-ok. Thankfully, I'm sure the same liberal media that crucified a band that said they were embarrassed GWB was from Texas will absolutely destroy him, right? I hope conservatives burn his records like they did Dixie Chicks. Just to get rid of his music would be nice.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 29, 2009 -> 10:37 AM) "The State" Dvd set. Doesnt anyone on here actually know what that is? Because nobody in my family knew. My friend got this and when he's done I'm gonna borrow it. Great show.

Evaluating the US Senate
I don't know how you can do this without bringing up ideology. Take Lugar for example. I like some of the stuff he's done, but I wouldn't rate him very high because of his stance on gay rights and him being a member of the Family. Someone else may see those things as positives.

QUOTE (kapkomet @ Dec 16, 2009 -> 02:39 PM) Does insurance cover it? No. It only cost 160 to replace both windows. driver side and rear window. Thats actually a pretty good deal. Plus they cleaned her car. Which alone should win them sainthood.

Andy Gonzalez was really bad. I think he had a game with like 3 or 4 errors. It was really amazing, like in a bad way.

QUOTE (kapkomet @ Dec 16, 2009 -> 01:17 PM) Ugh... people are stupid. I think the worst part is that they just did it to be destructive. They smashed like 5 other cars on the block. A week before Christmas. Jerks.
