  1. Bradley has been in a lot because of Berrian's toe injury, FWIW.
  2. Yankees got a huge break with that 305 foot flyball by Damon being a 3 run home run because of the ballpark the game is in. It's a series now though, assuming Paul Byrd is still pitching game 4 for the Indians.
  3. This is surreal.....4th turnover in 3 quarters, in position to already tie it and a chance to take the lead. I'd swear the Packers are the Cubs with an NLCS lead right now. Well, if they are going to give this game to the Bears for free, might as well take it. And lol @ Maynard recovering the fumble.
  4. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Oct 7, 2007 -> 09:44 PM) I will not blame any team for trying to kick to Hester, but as a fan, I f***ing HATE IT. Anybody that kicks to Devin Hester should be fired. Not only is it not worth it due to how awesome Hester is, but your going against the Bears offense. He should never, ever, ever touch the ball on kicks.
  5. They run it on 3rd and 6?? I think Ron Turner somehow made that play call.
  6. This is like one of those Mack Brown games back in the day where Texas would destroy their opponent, but have stupid and unforced turnovers and find a way to lose. I can't believe this.
  7. Wow, what a terrible pass by Favre, and that TD can't be reviewed because it was a force out, so count it no matter how much GB whines. This is amazing.
  8. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Oct 7, 2007 -> 07:39 PM) Problem is he is not even the best RB in his conference. Wrong, if Mendenhall got to carry the ball 50 times a game like Hart, he'd blow away his numbers, and as is, Mendehall's numbers are more than comparable to Hart's.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 7, 2007 -> 09:32 PM) At least with Rex, the game was kinda exciting. This has to be the most boring Bears game in a long time. Boo to every dumbass Bears fan who was chanting Griese's name. This is just a horrid football team, the man playing QB doesn't matter.
  10. If the Packers weren't play dumb football, they'd have 10 more points and the Bears 4 less, so really if not for Jones being an idiot and a player lining up wrong on a field goal, It'd be 30-6 right now. And did I mention total yards is 360 to 166 in favor of Green Bay, and that Green Bay and it's 43 rushing yards per game has 108?? What a joke, Favre has 1 non intentional incompletion out of 21 attempts.
  11. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Oct 7, 2007 -> 09:07 PM) So how long are the Bears gonna let that quick slant beat them before they decide to play up on the receiver more? All game. If you jump the quick slant, they'll run a double move and leave the pass coverage up to Archuleta and McGowan, which will equal disaster. Better to give them a 6 yard slant than a 50 yard bomb, as we saw earlier. The Bears are beyond lucky to be in this, and need to rally, as the season is over if the Packers win. And good to see the pride of my alma mater (well, soon to be alma mater) Michael Turner have the biggest rushing day in the league today. Methinks he will be the feature back in Green Bay in 2008.
  12. Illinois also lost 4 star SG Mark McLaughin to Nevada today. It looks like 2005 to Weber=2001 to Turner, just as the 2 are equally "talented" at recruiting. Who will be the basketball program's Ron Zook in a few years and fix things is the question.
  13. I've already seen some chatter about this around here, so I figured I'd start the thread now that the matchup is official. Although not many people outside of die hards like us around here will be watching, this should IMO be a GREAT GREAT series. I believe it starts on Wednesday, maybe Thursday, but at any rate both teams will have time to set their rotations and thus it's even in that regard. I'll take the D'Backs in 7, but this series could really go either way. I feel obliged to root for Arizona with what they did to the Cubs.
  14. One of you hockey experts please tell me the Hawks at least HAVE A CHANCE to make the playoffs this year, even as a #8 seed. That's all I ask, I just want them to make the playoffs in a league where almost everybody makes it.
  15. Martez Wilson played some defensive end, nickel cornerback, and linebacker yesterday. I don't think I've ever heard of anything like that before in my entire life. And the fact that Illinois and Indiana might be playing games in January while Iowa and Notre Dame sit at home is another thing that tells me just how fun this season is. Wow.
  16. Sleep easy, White Sox Nation, the Cubs still suck and will suck forever. A century and keep on rolling!!!
  17. I must say that Wisconsin is better than I thought, as they still played tough with Illinois not turning it over and P.J. Hill getting shut down outside of 1 play. However, Wisconsin simply isn't that great of a football team, certainly not a top 5 team, and today showed it. That running game is just something that nobody in the Big 10 outside of probably Ohio State can stop, and the defense dose just enough when it has to. And wow, what an atmosphere today, I hope lots of recruits shows up. And before Soxbadger tries it, Illinois had just as many important people get hurt today as Wisconsin, and the refs screwed the Illini over badly twice between the phantom 40 yard pass to midfield (that hit the ground) that stood on review, and then the fumble that would have gave it to Illinois at the Wisky 5 up 31-19 with 5 minutes left, so save it. Illinois just was the better team, and the game is over and the final not nearly as close if not for that horrible down call on the kick return after McGee's TD. Oh, and congrats to the IU fans around here. It's kinda nice to see two "basketball" schools like IU and Illinois having great football revivals at the same time.
  18. Manny vaporizes a ball into outer space, as it appeared to perhaps put a hole in the giant Coke bottle above the monster seats. It's a 3 run, 2 out walk off HR and Boston wins 6-3. Just Manny being Manny I guess. The networks must be pumped, as all four best of five series are now 2-0.
  19. Daisuke had a 7.62 ERA in his 5 September starts, and that trend of poop continues thusfar tonight. It still amazes me the Red Sox paid the 52 million dollar posting fee to talk to Dice-K, who is basically a poor man's Javier Vazquez (and I mean poor man's Vazquez during one of his normal years, he was nowhere near Javy this year as Vazquez had a very good year).
  20. The only other playoff game I can think of where a team blew this many chances to win and left this man men on base was game 3 of the 2005 World Series. This is just unbelieveable. I bet Vizcaino will walk Hafner now and bail the Indians out, with how he is. And a full count, start the merry go round, wow. Base hit Hafner, Indians win. Ahh that's the Jizzcan I remember, YOU SUCK VIZCAINO!! The Yankees are 1 loss away from once again failing in October, I love it.
  21. BLEH so much for my Blake prediction, he'll be bunting now. Perfect bunt though, 2nd and 3rd 1 out for Sizemore. And they intentionally walk Sizemore to load the bases with 1 out for Asdrubal Cabrera, as some guy I've never even heard of takes over defensively in left field for Damon.
  22. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Oct 5, 2007 -> 08:11 PM) Is Clemens pitching this series? Is he done for the year? I can't believe I'm not aware of his status. Clemens is scheduled to pitch in game 3 Sunday in New York against Jake Westbrook. Should be a lot of runs that night.
  23. The interesting thing about A-Rod is I believe he was about a .350 hitter in the playoffs in Seattle, but he's under .200 with New York. Bizarre. Uh oh, the legendary "Jizz Can" is in the game. Expect the base on balls to be a factor imminently. And just after I type it, Lofton draws a 4 pitch walk. It's like clockwork with Luis, couldn't throw a beachball into the ocean.
  24. I'm not sure how anybody ever hits either of Cleveland's Rafael's (Perez or Betancourt). Just nasty stuff, wow. Random, but for some reason I think Casey Blake will be the hero this half inning.
  25. Cleveland has nobody to blame but themselves if they lose this one, so many men left on base. However, I think that might have been it for Rivera. Who would come in next, Hughes?
