Ha, my mom came home and sat on the couch in here right as AJ's at bat started. Great luck.....the RBI single by Joe on the 2nd of 2 straight hangers makes it 4-2 Sox, 1st and 3rd 1 out. And we've got a pitching change. -

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 16, 2007 -> 02:39 PM) For those who can see, is anyone warming in the pen? Double barreled activity, I THINK it was Logan and Aardsma. -

Danks might have the worst freaking luck I have ever seen. If it's not his offense, it's his defense, or the umps, or the bullpen, or something like that. He gets no help from anybody. HE GONE!!! And at least at the ump only gave them 1 free run, tied at 2. That damn catch by Melky is killing us. -

QUOTE(soxfan3530 @ May 16, 2007 -> 02:36 PM) why does danks always implode the innings we give hims some runs??? Not his fault this time, he is getting squeezed at levels you can't imagine. -

If John was getting the same zone Moose is, he might have a no hitter going right now. There is another bulls*** squeeze, 3-1 count. This ump is a HUGE Yankee fan apparently. Fair ball, and we're tied. 2nd and 3rd 2 outs. Tie game. Cabrera and the umps have combined to turn what could be a 4-1 game into a 2-2 tie. -

QUOTE(mr_genius @ May 16, 2007 -> 02:32 PM) It was very deep. Would have been gone if Cabrera didn't leap up and steal it. Yep it was gone if not for Melky, but that damn wind kept it from being clear over the bullpen and way out. Dye has to run a 100 meter dash to keep up with the winds on that ball, but he has it, 2 outs. Abreu homered his last trip up, here is is again. Another missle to left, but this is a single. 1st and 2nd 2 outs. -

I can't believe that Uribe ball wasn't way out, even with this wind. That's 1 for each team now like that. Although it still had the distance, just robbery by Cabrera. And throw strikes Danks, damnit. -

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 16, 2007 -> 02:22 PM) I am at work and can't see the game, but this park is a b**** with the wind. You'll see a lot of foul ball misplays on windy days. Oh I know, the wind is brutal today. But A-Rod is horrid at pop ups, I was moreso pointing that out than anything. I was surprised he even caught it actually. 2-0 count for Grinderstad. Make it 3-0. Uribe on deck, one of the few guys I'd want up in a big spot right now. A strike that Danks hasn't got all day makes the count 3-1. RIPPED for a base hit, it's 2-1 good guys on the RBI single. Thatta boy Darin. Damnit board is flooded, I can't post, lol. Darin steals 2nd on the first pitch without a throw, well done. UGH.....Uribe robbed of a 2 run homer by the combination of the wind and Cabrera heading over the yellow line to catch it. Inning over. f***!! -

Danks and Mussina have 2 completely different strike zones. Sweeney's bat blows up, the ball ends up in the glove of Josh Phelps for the 2nd out. Gooch to 3rd. -

Gooch with a classic Gooch swing, splits the gap and rolls to the right center field fence for a 1 out double. -

Danks with 64 pitches through 5, very efficient. A-Rod with his typical troubles on that pop up, but he makes a stumbling catch in foul ground, 1 out. -

GREAT choice 1st pitch, that might be the first time i've seen him drop a hook on the first pitch. And thus, A-Rod is now late on the 2nd pitch gasser inside, 0-2. Pops him up, wind playing some games with it and Crede JUST HAS ROOM, inning over. Phew. -

Everybody is hacking early at Danks now because of all the strikes he is throwing, make it easy on him as they are swinging at some balls outside of the strike zone. Damon with a cue shot into left for a 2 out single. -

Danks needs to settle down here, he's not trusting his stuff as much as before the A-Rod near miss. I know Abreu took him deep, but that was just a graet piece of hitting. There you go, challenges him with the gas and an easy pop out. -

Abreu with the right idea, he hit a liner that the wind had no chance to stop, and it just gets out. Tie game immediately. -

QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ May 16, 2007 -> 02:05 PM) Was Paulie's homer really opposite field? If so, that's a good sign. Yep, landed right in the vicinity of where the Pods blue seat is. Low liner that stayed out of the wind. -

QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ May 16, 2007 -> 02:03 PM) Radio said he took a bad route. It DIED in that wind, I was shocked it didn't easily get out. Another missle shot, but right at A-Rod. Well 3 hard hit balls this inning at least, and a run.
