QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) How does 9 hits, 1 run given up by our pitching staff over 3 games sound? Sounds like it was nice to get KC into town to get our staff into a rhythm.
-
This whole thing would be over if not for somebody trying to get re elected. Sad but true.
-
QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 03:04 PM) We only have a 4 run lead. Hahaha beat me to it!
-
QUOTE(ThinWhiteDuque @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 03:03 PM) How about Cliff? We'd need a bigger lead for him to come in.
-
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 03:00 PM) Because he was a Sox-killer as a Twin, and he ends no-hitters with luck like that. He wasn't a Sox killer other than the occasional defense since he can't hit. AJ, TorII and Jacque were the Sox killers that I couldn't stand, and one won the WS with us last year and the other is on the Flubs now.

I don't know how people could hate Mihneutwapureajwiez that much. He's a piss poor baseball player who have never played past A ball if not for his defense.
-
If Javy knew the field, he'd have picked it up ASAP and maybe had a shot at 1st. Damn it, that's one of the very very few times I can think of where the Sodfather's magic cost us.
-
The one time where Bossard costs us with the way he keeps the field. That's a foul ball at any other park in either league.
-
0 for 2 for Pods today, Bako is the wrong guy to be running on.
-
Kill yourself was a joke btw, for those of you who have bad sarcasm meters.
-
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 02:44 PM) Very good as in NO HITTER good? Kill yourself por favor.
-
Vasquez with 6 VERY good innings so far. Keep it up man.
-
Wow, great play by Teahan to save at least a run. Still 4-0 good guys though.
-
Why didn't the runner from 3rd come home? That was obviously a swing and miss, and WTF was AJ not running for? Ah well.
-
The Thome monsters' streal lives! Run in the first 15 games.
-
This is f***ing ugly, but I'll take it. 4-0.

QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 02:21 PM) You are thinking in the completely wrong way for a team like Oakland. Because of their lack of money, they have to trade players that won't be on their team in a year because it helps them get the players that will be cheap studs in the future. Its basically, do you want Zito for another half year, or do you want someone like Sowers for 6 years in the future (I only mention Sowers because of the Indians, I don't really know if he'd be an option or not)? ^^^^^ What he said.
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 01:25 PM) LOL, you guys make it seem like it's so easy to hit Zito, you guys might want to tell that to some hitters considering Zito has had one below average year(below average for him, still wasn't that bad) in his whole career. Zito used to throw a decent fastball to keep hitters honest, now he's lost some velocity and everybody just sits on the 87 heater.
-
Hawk saying "that sucks..." just sounded funny to me for some reason.
-
Gotta trade him. He's going to be gone soon anyways, their system is loaded, and somebody will overpay for a guy that is very hittable if you sit on his s***ty fastball.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 12:44 AM) So if we win tomorrow, are we still the 7th seed or do we move up to 6th? Cause we were 2-2 against Indiana in the season. I'd rather play NJ than Mia. If the Bulls win tomorrow, they are clear of Milwaukee, who finished 40-42, and the Bulls finish 41-41. An Indiana loss tomorrow would also clear the Bulls of Indy (assuming the Bulls win) as Indy would finish 40-42. A Washington win tomorrow sends them to 42-40, and locks them in at 5th. Now, I'm almost positive that the Bulls would lose the tiebreaker to Indiana, but would win a tiebreaker over Washington. So these would be the senarios: Bulls lose tomorrow=Bulls 8th, the end Bulls win, Indiana wins, Washington wins=Bulls 7th Bulls win, Indiana wins, Washington loses=Bulls 6th Bulls win, Indiana loses, Washington wins=Bulls 6th Bulls win, Indiana loses, Washington loses=Bulls 5th So basically, Bulls lose and they are 8th, win and Ind/Was win, they are 7th, win and Ind or Was lose and they are 6th, win/Ind AND Was lose, they are 5th. Is this accurate? Lord only knows, but I'm PRETTY sure it is.... I HOPE the Bulls get the #6, I like their chances against New Jersey a lot more than I do against Detroit, Shaq/DWade, or LeBron. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 12:33 AM) And that proves...? Umm I'm assuming it proves the Bulls would have avoided Detroit regardless of what happened tonight with a win over Toronto since those are from the game wraps after the Orlando game. Unless of course the locals here know more than both of the cities Bulls beat writers. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 11:06 PM) Ha, actually we would have been the 8 had we won and all the others won, at least I'm pretty sure. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...bulls-headlines http://www.suntimes.com/output/sports/cst-spt-bull18.html -

The playoff picture cleared up a lot more out West tonight. Sacramento won, which means the Lakers must win tomorrow night. A Laker win gives them the #7 and Sac Town the #8, and if they lose the Lakers fall to the #8 and Sac Town gets the #7. And Memphis "won" against the Clippers, which is great for the Clippers. Due to the ridiculous setup, the Grizzlies win gives them the #5 seed. But getting the #5 seed means Memphis must face the #3 team in the league in terms of record (but only #4 seed in the west) Dallas w/o home court, while the #6 seed Clippers will have home court advantage due to overall record against #3 seed Denver, a vastly inferior team to Dallas. -
Elarton (tough luck 0-3, 3.60 ERA) vs. Vasquez (0-1, 6.23 ERA, pitched well against KC). I expect this one to be lower scoring, similar to today's game. Javy will bounce back and Elarton will be pretty decent as well. Let's get the sweep done and keep the hot play going!
