  1. I'm with you, very well done top 10....except I don't think Louisville can be a top 10 team (or even close) in the Big East. Duke will be borderline simply because they are Duke, so I can go with them in their spot, but Louisville is still a way off.
  2. Bulls vs. Sixers tonight on the West Side. Win and we're in, and all of a sudden trying to get the #7 or #6 is a legit thought. Loss and it's a dogfight just to get in. Pretty big game indeed.
  3. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 03:33 PM) Sometimes I eat a dog with just mustard on it, sometimes I eat a dog with just ketchup, sometimes I eat a dog Chicago-style. All of the time, I dont give a s*** if someone is actually concerned about what I am putting on my hot dog. NOYB. Im at a park to cheer, the only time another Sox fan should be worried about me is if I come to cheer the other team, which will never happen. Haha, I don't care what somebody puts on their hotdogs, this is America. I just think putting ketchup on there is incredibly wrong, especially if your a local.
  4. I don't mind people like fn and Felix who live away from Chicago and put ketchup on their hot dogs.....but if your from Chicago and do it, I pray for your soul. Yikes. However I will say that if your complaning about too many people going to games or would throw back a home run ball, go be a Cub fan, because your a dumbass. Attendance=payroll, when will people get that?!
  5. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 02:49 PM) Great race reference. If the party was so degrading, why did she go back into the house? I guess we will find out won't we? But of course if she did go back in there totally on her own will, it's her fault if she was raped.
  6. You'll get Hummel and Johnson, and probably either Jones or Moore. Plus Kelvin will bring in a stud Juco or 2 of course, (like that kid White appears to be).
  7. 2 signs were shown during the 7th inning stretch singing: 1. 3 blondes with a sign that said "We're just here for the Bud Light!" 2. (On accident I'm sure) A Cardinals fans with a 3 part sign...."Red" with a Cardinals 2004 NL Champs Logo, "White" with a 2005 White Sox World Champs Logo, and "Blue" with a picture of a black and white Billy Goat. That 2nd sign had me laughing for almost 5 minutes now.
  8. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 02:42 PM) IU will be the leader for Moore by the end of summer. He really likes KS. I'm interested to see how well KS locks down the borders.
  9. QUOTE(Soxy @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 02:01 PM) They'll claim it was consensual. When you get an acquittal off a a taped rape, I have a hard time believing this will get a conviction. Especially given the possible racial motivation and the fact that she's a stripper. I would honestly be shocked if the DA manages to get a conviction. It makes me sick, but that's how I would predict this case to go. Agreed, the "rich white college students" will always beat the "dumb ass black girl stripper" in court. That's America for you, however if the DNA comes out like the DA seems to think it will, there will be a trial which will do a lot of damage to Duke's rep, regardless of how it ends up.
  10. QUOTE(Soxy @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 01:52 PM) My bold prediction: No one involved with the rape will be convicted. Actually, I'm not convinced this case will even make it to trial. This entire case is based upon what the DNA shows, regardless of the bulls*** both sides claim.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 01:51 PM) Albert Pujols is the most imposing hitter in Baseball, it is incredibly enjoyable to watch him hit. No doubt about it, he's an amazing talent. Rolen is also a lot of fun to watch, I hope he is able to stay healthy this year for the Cards.
  12. Darquavis Tucker (Michigan), E'Twaun Moore and Eshaunte Jones (Indiana), Maurice Miller (Memphis, TN), Brockeith Pane (Dallas, Texas), McMillian from out west, and Evan Turner of St Joe's HS are all guys the Illini are looking closely at. McMillian has a lot of Illini interest, but no offer yet. Tucker is a guy who the Illini have a great shot at since he really likes us and MSU has a ton of wings already, Moore is very good friends with Eric Gordon, and Pane has an Illini offer and is from an area where the Illini recently have got Deron Williams and Warren Carter. I'd consider McMillian, Pane, Tucker, and Jones the favorites if Rose does indeed head elsewhere....and the Illini most likely would be able to take 2 of them in that senario.
  13. QUOTE(Brian @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 01:15 PM) Did they raise there Attendance Championship banner? Not sure why they would, Boston sold more tickets in terms of percentage of total seats and St. Louis drew more fans in their own division in terms of people in the park.
  14. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 10:12 PM) Rowand in the 2-hole is barfalicious. The Phillies will learn to keep him at the bottom of their order sooner or later. Yeah, WTF are they thinking? You have Rollins, Utley, Burrell, Howard, Abreu....and you hit Rowand 2nd and Howard 6th?!?! This SHOULD be their lineup IMHO: Rollins Abreu Utley Howard Burrell Rowand Liberthal Bell P That top 5 is flat out SICK and after Rollins you could mix those 4 in just about any order (although Burrell 5th is probably something you'd do either way) and a bottom 3 of Rowand, Liberthal, and Bell in the NL is pretty damned good, as good as you will find over there. Their rotation is still a huge question mark though.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) I know there's been a lot of rumors regarding Rose and $......and let me just say that I've had that rumor confirmed by someone in the know. Whoever gets Derrick Rose is going to have less money in their "budget" than before. Yeah I predict he ends up at Memphis, it's just too obvious for so many reasons. Illinois will still get a very good player with that scholly though, a lot of guys are interested. Losing Rose sucks, but he (like Gordon) is a 1, maybe 2 year college player so who knows, maybe it will be a blessing in disguise. But yeah, your right about Rose.....I heard it a while ago and have heard it more and more as time has gone on, but didn't want to post it and start more debate.
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 12:24 PM) Gagne has always, always thrown hard. I'm not exactly sure where you got that the only threw 92. Pre TJ surgery he had a slighty above average fastball. He came back bigger and with about 5 MPH extra on the old #1. His issue as a starter was control, and he never even had great control in his prime with the Dodgers....but his stuff was so obnoxious that it didn't matter since nobody could be patient and take enough walks.
  17. WHO IS KARIM GARCIA?!??!??!?! Man I love Pedro.
  18. QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 10:18 AM) Is there any evidence that Gagne was on steroids, or is this just speculation on your part? From what I've heard, it sounds like he's done. Hopefully that's not the case. When a guy is a pretty thin starter who throws 92, has TJ surgery, returns as a giant beast that throws 97 with 3 unhittable pitches, then has his body fall apart after a few years, it's pretty damn suspecious. As for Rowand and Garcia on steriods...lol. However the idea Loaiza used steroids could definitely have some merit, watched him last night and he looked about 15 pounds lighter and couldn't throw harder than 84.
  19. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 01:22 AM) Alex Legion is now on their radar after getting out of his scholly with michigan. Well that is more realistic since he just backed out, but apparently Duke REALLY wants Legion.
  20. That's unreal. Gets a job a week and a half before the season as a 28 year old kid, takes the team to the tournament somehow for the first time ever, is on TV along with her brother doing interviews, and is dead a few weeks later. Life is so damn precious a thing. RIP.
  21. The thin obsession is ridiculous. The girls I like are apparently "thick" simply because they eat and you can't see their ribs poking through their skin. Good for JK on this one, long live curves.
  22. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 11:46 PM) Self can't coach worth a lick, the man can flat out recruit, plus we have the best chicago connection going. He's maybe the best recruiter in the nation, but he got in too late on Rose and there are too many heavyweights that have been on him for a while. Self will just get some another super duper 5 star recruit though.
  23. Well his career may be over, and his body might be falling apart because of them, but the roids made this man A LOT of money. Another sad ending to a roid story though.
  24. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 05:32 PM) Based on the 2005 records of their opponents, the Bears have the easiest schedule in the NFL in 2006. Haha so much for "1st place schedule".
  25. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 02:53 PM) why do they have that? And then we take another #2? The Bulls current roster doesn't have a 2 on it. Ben Gordon and Pargo off the bench are too damn small to play 2, and neither is very consistent with their shot either. As for Thomas.....I'd take Noah over him, but he's supposedly a lock to go #1.
