Thank God, I can't stand anything about Detroit, the city, the team, the people..... Any heartbreak their fans suffer is great to see. -

So I'm watching the Twins game tonight on the dish, enjoying the 8-1 beatdown they are getting. Anyways, the Detroit batter hits a long foul ball down the line (it was clearly foul) and some Twins fan catches the ball, AND THROWS THE DAMN BALL BACK ONTO THE FIELD!!! Some security guy you could see on camera before it went back to the game went to the guy, almost looking like he was saying "WTF man!" And I thought Cubs fans were dumb.....and no i'm not making any of this up.

If this defecit gets any bigger, we might wanna think about setting up our playoff rotation .

I was watching on the Brewers feed, they said the pitcher for the Brew Crew was like 0 for his last 40 or something and those were his first 2 RBI's in his career. -

Oh playing these bums on our field should be such a fun time this weekend. -

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) LOL, Patterson leading off because he called Busty and told him he wanted to try it again. And Busty stupidly lets him lead off even though Hairston's OBP is far better. I don't think Busty even knows what OBP is. :headshake And of course KKKorey K's. Exactly. Neifi has hit for average, but he never walks, so he could hit .330 and his OBP still isn't the quality of a 2 hitter. -

Corey Patterson hitting leadoff again may be the best news of the night actually, as great as Zambrano's meltdown was..... Automatic out in the 1 slot for the "Cubbies" is a good thing to see. -

The sun rises, Carlos Lee kills the Cubs, the sun sets. Same thing all season. And wow, that was just so enjoyable to watch, maybe the damn yuppies up there will shut up, but I doubt it since it's not like they are watching the game anyways. -
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 05:14 PM) He was waived by the Angels. Really?? Wow....any idea why?
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 05:00 PM) Thanks for the info No problem. Btw, I have heard great things about Jenks, I did back in the day when he was drafted, but how were we able to acquire him?

Juan Pierre is on the trading block
whitesoxfan101 replied to Southside hitmen's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(Southside hitmen @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 04:57 PM) I agree Pierre is having an offseason but he has batted over 300 the last 2 seasons with over 40 stolen bases... Think our defense in the OF PodsLF PierreCF Rowand RF Yeah, NO power and 2 very poor arms.... -
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 04:55 PM) Am I looking to far into age then?? I really haven't seen him play that much and I know he's been damn good this year I just saw he was 26 and thought maybe he really didn't belong in this game. He has really developed, could be a late bloomer IMO...... Florida may end up trading him for help on the struggling MLB club since they already have LoDuca at C and his value is probably sky high right now.

How on earth could anybody want a .250 hitting injury prone CF with no power and no arm, ESPECIALLY when we have a GREAT leadoff man and 4 very good outfielders already? -
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 04:40 PM) why the heck is Josh Willingham in it?? Your kidding right?? Willingham has lead the world (minor league world) in EVERYTHING for most of this season.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) Ha, I think it's spelled facetious. The way you spelled it kind of sounds dirty. I am great with knowing big words, but horrendous at spelling them

I remember jokingly telling my friends that with as bad as the Royals are we should sweep the season series against them in our effort to take the Central. Maybe I wasn't being as fececious as I thought...
