The one thing w/ Flowers - if he cant get people pitching around him at the higher levels, he's a totally different offensive player. And the defense is very TBD. I just cant buy a principle in a Javy deal as a principle in a Halladay deal. Hope it happens though!

To be rabidly pro-Pods on here would be to take a 'non-internet-smarts' position, i'm sure 90% of the pro-Pods people out there were 05 sentimentalists or even people with a passing fancy of the team. so to be all for him at that point, in this setting at least, takes a lot of guts

What a huge 'addition' he would be to what we're already doing. Get a bad bat out of the lineup and put in a great one. Even if not at last year's level, he gives us so much more than what we have now Then move Beckham up in the order and we have a nice attack

And wow, Wise would make a huge mistake leaving this organization. They have an unfounded level of trust in his abilities that he will find nowhere else.

Also the possibility of Pods getting injured or fading some....that's still huge. Not trying to be a downer, but you still may need BA/Wise. If Pods gets injured then we'd have a huge dependence on Wise. Unless Ozzie ever wants to give AR in CF a shot, but he wont.

Yea, i mean that presupposes Brian would start somewhere else. Maybe for a particularly bad or in need team.

against lefties at 2b.... spell alexei, becks here and there, get him in LF at times. i think it's the best we can do. at the very least we have some pop off the bench.
