  1. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 02:24 PM) Can someone elaborate on what happened and what is currently going on? BA hit a nubber to Garza, it ricocheted off the glove so he had to scramble to make a throw to first. Threw it away, run scored. Then Getz solidly singled in two more.
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 02:22 PM) That was definitely a FO at 2nd and maybe even a double play...BA fortunate that Garza misplayed it and then compounded it with the wild throw. Still, we'll take it. And with Anderson running, it helped cause the wild throw. there were already 2 outs
  3. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 02:16 PM) He does that all the time though, I half-expected him to start going "STRETCH!" Boers and Bernstein occasionally play this clip of Hawk going: "STRETCH -HE- NO!!!"
  4. Wilson making us miss Uribe? thats JU level right there with the bat
  5. my Twins-fan friend refers to Garza as 'their nuke laloosh' formerly that is
  6. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 02:14 PM) Ugh Hawk, Konerko did not hit that ball that hard, got me excited for no reason. But a sac fly is good too. i think it's one of those things where Hawk just knew instantly that it was a run at the very least
  7. Thome still has that eye edit: dang only 4 walks this yr
  8. note to AL pitchers: you can throw strikes to Lillibridge, you know
  9. havent read the thread but lets evaluate Jenks' performance how was the contact people were making off him?
  10. Danks pitches around two walks Is this the year we finally have a no-doubt ace level guy?
  11. Splendid, old replays of Cliff Floyd destroying a Linebrink pitch
  12. QUOTE (tommy @ Apr 16, 2009 -> 06:29 PM) Can you guys be more descriptive for us not watching? Gameday is way behind. AJ and Alexei singled and both advanced on a wild pitch. Then BA popped up shallow left....Getz flied out. They both worked their at-bats a little i believe.
  13. Against a not so great righty like this, it woulda been nice to have Wise healthy there at the 9-hole. He hit .261 against all righties last yr FWIW, which aint much but is somethin
  14. Lets get this guy nervous. Alexei and AJ on the basepaths, a welcome foreign sight
  15. Owens has hit .286 against Nieman albeit in 7 ABs. I wonder if Ozzie will play him Thome has faced him once and it did not stay in the park.
  16. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 09:28 AM) And they always give us trouble even when they suck. They look like they may stick around for a while. Crede will wish he went to his hometown team
  17. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Apr 16, 2009 -> 07:10 AM) Well, that, and everytime James Diego decides to talk in 3rd person and tell everyone how they are wrong about Dewayne and when he give out really bad acronyms. Other than that, its kind of dead He's talking in first person actually
  18. Nice to know what's going on in Cowley's mind these days It's hilarious but Rowand would come here and leadoff. He'd pretty much be the Coco Crisp everyone wants up there, but better at it.
  19. Are you talking about 'swing looked better' or as you put it 'performance' b/c regarding the latter, when Brian does get an extended look, I dont know if there's discernible improvement. Actually had 89 at-bats from May thru June last year... 18 for 89. Whereas towards the end of the year, his obp actually went up when he was getting more sparse at-bats. game log http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/game...6&year=2008
