Interesting Ozzie quote on Cooper...revisits Castro quote
TaylorStSox replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Sox fans are weird. One one hand, you have people that criticize Reinsdorf for being too loyal. On the other hand, you have people who post insane stuff like this. I'm just going to assume people forget Ozzie signed a backroom deal with the Marlins while he was still the Sox manager and that he's a drunk. -
Hasn't Jerry kept all Sox employees on the payroll despite shutting down? He should be commended for that alone.

Let me make sure everyone knows my position.

Kopech sitting out 2020 - files for divorce
TaylorStSox replied to Heads22's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Honestly, who gives a shit what Coop says? None of it really matters. Kopech isn't pitching this year. If he comes back next year, that's great. If not, we move on. Nothing Cooper says changes that. -

People might want Coop out of here, but it shouldn't be for his job as the pitching coach. He's still among the very best. -
Anyone Remember Much about the 2000 White Sox?
TaylorStSox replied to Soxsi75's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Even if healthy, that staff wasn't going to win too many playoff games. They just didn't have the stuff to compete in high pressure situations. -
We're any of those 1/3rd of a "season" played under totally different rules without fans?
-
Does this season actually qualify for service time? Shit, that sucks for us. ?Oh, to be a White Sox fan.

How long is a DL trip for Covid?
-
Would any team actually trade a player of value in an asterisk season where the winner doesn't matter? Are they going to end a 60 game season with a World Series? What about career threatening injuries in an exhibition season? This is madness.

This is stupid. That's all.

Old habits die hard. This is just how they treat people.

This is simply untrue. Socioeconomic is the combination of social and economic factors and how one impacts another. Crimes of passion aren't socioeconomic.

I'd prefer they just cancel the season than play a glorified beer league schedule in front of no fans. -
It's definitely going to change the way we travel and how nations interact with one another. There's a very good possibility that Covid 19 isn't an isolated pandemic. It could very well be something else next year, or in 2 years.

The Empty Bottle is owned by 16 On Center. They're fine.

Unfortunately musicians only make money by touring these days. Streaming has killed revenue. Hopefully some people will be a little more cognizant in the future and actually support musicians by buying their music. www.bandcamp.com

When nearly half the workforce is living check to check, "stay at home people" isn't exactly feasible.

And for those who want to dictate the acceptability for how people deal with grief and tragedy, I'm already dealing with it in a few ways. First, my grandpa is in an ICU right now with pneumonia. I can't see him because of my exposure to the public via my job and I'll most likely never see him again. Also, if this escalates in the way I anticipate, it will most likely collapse my business. We simply can't afford to be inoperable for an extended period of time. Everyone working in the service industry will be in dire straights financially. I'm also self quarantining because I've been in the Prudential numerous times over the last week and I play poker in casinos several times a week.

That's WSI.

You're kind of new here. Green used to indicate sarcasm.

You're confusing my intent with my acceptance of reality as I see it. Hate has nothing to do with it. At least it'll fix our social security woes.

The what?

It doesn't matter what I think. There are simply too many of us and we live too long. We can try to mitigate the consequences of an overly populated/aging society, but there's no stopping those consequences. Nature truly is metal and doesn't give a shit about us.
