  1. After Giolito's last few outings and Lopez last night, I'm almost excited to watch a baseball game.
  2. I'm just saying that if you look at each guy's swing, it's pretty obvious why one is going to get more infield singles than the other. One has a flat swing, and the other has a more traditional LH uppercut swing.
  3. If you just look at their swings, it makes total sense.
  4. Alright, the emotional teenagers are in. Have a good night fellas.
  5. Situational hitting (and bunting) is something he's going to have to learn if he's ever going to reach his potential. When you're a SS who's going to hit .265 with some pop and not walk a lot, you need to be able get runners over.
  6. Unless you know you're managing a terrible team and your job is to try to teach, not win.
  7. All the young hitters weren't picking up the ball from CC. They're all late on everything.
  8. Rodon Lopez Kopech Cease Giolito Might want to split up Cease and Giolito as they're pretty similar though.
  9. If things work as planned, Giolito could end up being a 5th starter. If that's the case, you've got one hell of a staff.
  10. It looks like he's taken something off his slider and there's a bigger contrast to his fb. He's also doing a good job keeping it down.
  11. I don't mind because we're not really trying to win games and getting runners over is a situational skill Anderson needs to work on.
  12. I'm impressed with Lopez' slider tonight. He looks real good.
  13. Yeah, this year is all about seeing what you have with the Davidson, Palka and Delmonica's and then replacing them with some vets if they don't show anything.
  14. I think this off season is where you look to add a few respected vets who've been around the block on short term deals. Just to show the kids the ropes really.
  15. I don't think it matters a whole lot. They still won't be good next year. I'm not sure who's on the FA market, but I wouldn't mind adding a decent vet on 1-2 year deal for the clubhouse presence.
  16. He's got some of the worst balance at the plate I've ever seen in a "major league player."
  17. Rey's slider looks good tonight, but he needs to keep it down. If he ever masters the change, he's going to be a true #1 imo.
  18. Yeah, let's hold a freak injury against the organization. Totes.
  19. Alexei was a mess in the field when he first came up, but the tools were glaring. He turned into a damn fine SS. I wonder how old he really was. It seemed like he just fell off a cliff at some point.
  20. He probably played catch with his Dad a few times.
