Chicago White Sox @ LAAA California Angels playing in Anaheim.
I would be optimistic going into the next homestand thinking the home crowd would re-energize the team, but the way it looks on Ticketmaster's interactive seat map, the park's gonna be empty next week. What's new!

With Weaver pitching tomorrow and the Tigers licking their chops, I fully expect us to be down 1 going into Monday. Talk about depressing!

Chicago White Sox @ LAAA California Angels playing in Anaheim.
This is easily the most nervous I've been before a game all season. Tonight's game is huge! Hopefully it's one of those rare nights where the offense comes alive and we get a comfortable lead early. Wish I had more faith.

Sox vs Tigers... The Final Countdown!!!!
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 10, 2012 -> 01:28 PM) By sheer numbers, there's just not enough "White Sox fans" in this city to produce 40,000 showing up and another X thousand wanting tickets. Unless it's an actual playoff game/game 163, I don't see how you'd get Sox games getting to that point frequently. It's still a middle of the week (would be easier on weekend) series in September, and there's 4 of them...just not enough to go around. Cubs could probably pull it off since there's probably at least 3-4 Cubs fans for every Sox fan out there. I doubt we'll even get 30,000 tonight. I'll be there tonight among the 20,000 Sox fans drowning out the roars of the 8,000 or so Tiger fans. Go Sox!!

2012 White Sox Catch-All thread
I have a feeling we're gonna be seeing a lot of these articles blasting Sox fans for not showing up in the upcoming weeks. And even into the playoffs. I hate hearing from players like Peavy that they're disappointed in the turnouts. Oh well.. It's just gonna get worse folks. Here's a screen shot of ticketmaster's seat chart for the next Sox vs Tigers game at the Cell, which should be sold out already, but as you can see there are a ton of available seats.

We need to sweep this homestand, it's not out of the realm of possibility, especially with Sale going tomorrow. And let's bring Humber back in the rotation to face the M's.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 08:11 PM) $42.00 for regular season upperdeck seat = NEVER If the game was a sellout, would you pay the $42?

I paid $12 the last Sox game I went to.. and the game only drew 23,000.

8/21 Yankees at White Sox
It's not about the marketing team. It's the Sox fans. This is embarrassing. Two first place teams, White Sox in first by 2 games and Yankees are the best in the AL, and we're in late August. Any other year in the past these games would be sold out or close to sold out. It's not the pricing, it's not the economy, it's Sox fans not showing up this season. I'm watching the YES telecast, and the broadcasters are talking about how startling all these empty seats are as they pan the camera around the empty stadium. I really don't think our fanbase deserves a postseason appearance this year. It's a shame. Really embarrassing and depressing.

White Sox vs A's 1:10 PM
Looking forward to watching Sale today. It'll be nice to watch the TBS telecast and take a break from Hawk, although the TBS announcers will probably rip on our attendance today. Go Sox!!

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 09:28 PM) Chuck Garfien @ChuckGarfien AJ Pierzynski has more home runs than Prince Fielder, Carlos Gonzalez, Matt Holliday, Mike Trout, and Adrian Beltre. After hosting the World Series last year as an analyst on Fox, he's come back as a different player this season. Being a part of that 7-game World Series had to have motivated him. He probably said to himself he would do everything in the offseason to get more fit, get stronger, prepare for a career year, and get his team back into the World Series. If his job as Fox analyst had anything to do with it, thank you Fox!

Return of an All-Star: Sale vs Royals
He's paid to talk baseball and make predictions like that. And that's not even a bold prediction. Anything can happen in these next 8 weeks.. the ball could easily bounce the wrong way for the Sox, and we could go on a devastating losing streak. Just hope we continue to hit the ball, catch the ball, and catch a bunch of breaks along the way.

2012 AL Pennant Chase
Yankees @ Detroit.. should be a great series. Hopefully NY takes 3 of 4, we take 2 of 3 against KC, and we'll be up 3 games going into the weekend series vs Oakland.
-
Tonight's game...another potential sellout?
Not even close. Lower deck still has plenty seats available, and upper deck is only about 40% full. Only 28K tonight.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 08:16 AM) A bank? Fine, you win, you got approached with the biggest scam. From now on, the only people I'll give my time are those Sox employees in green at the next home game. They haven't been brainwashed, and I'll be helping out the Sox.
