speaks a lot to Yoan's talent that he's had bad luck and looks really bad at the plate and he's still got a 651 OPS. He's #1 in exit velocity, which is impressive.

They are getting a snow storm this week with up to 5 inches forecast. Some of these kids' baseball seasons are going to be 1/3 wiped out. The HS season is only 2.25 months up there -- April, May and early June. Feel bad for the teams up there.

It's not just his approach he was absolutely pulling off the ball today, as badly as I've seen him in Chicago. Front side flailing open and a lot of head movement. I really do think he should give up switch hitting. I don't think he can get into a good rhythm up there constantly switching sides. He's a natural lefty swinger. Just face lefties as a lefty.

it's just bad managing from Renteria. As noted, why are you doing a squeeze with the slowest guy in your lineup? Moreover, why are you asking a kid, with limited experience that is already swimming up there at the plate, to execute something he probably has done less than 3-4 times in his entire baseball career? It's not putting guys in a position to succeed. You can expect players to 100% execute or imo you can be pragmatic and realize their weaknesses. Bad on Ricky imo. Very bad. Disheartening that he is still so bad tactically imo.

it's a long season thank god.

I swear to f***ing god everytime this team loads the bases it's like all the pressure is on the batter. It should be the other way man. Davidson just got really lucky. Make them pay.
