  1. Cle crew as confused as we are why they threw him a strike. Haha feels good not to be the dumbass team.
  2. LOL or let them throw a BP fastball on 2-0! A BOMB!
  3. jose, take this walk they are gonna give you.
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 07:58 PM) I think his train of thought is this..."I can't hit it or lay off it, then that means they can't either right?!?!" i loled
  5. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 07:58 PM) Flowers really loves that high fastball lol. 1-2-3 in the batting order. Let's try to make the pitcher actually work if they walk AND don't get a TOOTBLAN in the same half inning -- slam your drink. If they get one or the other take 2 drinks.
  6. Soto is a joke behind the plate as well but if Flowers is going to be this brutal you might as well start giving each 2-3 starts a week and see if anyone improves. Not like Flowers is some vet that has a history of great performance. He's been mediocre at best and Soto has talent left in his bat IMO.
  7. speaking of the devil, ffs block the ball.
  8. nasty pitch for "Santana". Cle broadcast barely above Hawk level.
  9. Flowers is just very sloppy for a starting MLB catcher. Drops way too many balls, footwork gets messy, oh well. Is what it is at this point.
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 07:44 PM) Bonifacio has zero plate discipline. He didn't get a strike that entire AB. considering he's basically been on the bench 10 days straight I'm willing to cut him some slack. Robin needs to find him more PA keep him into the season.
  11. that's a pretty damn obnoxious ticker that the Cleveland channel has on the bottom. Takes up 1/8 of the screen.
  12. holy s*** he got hit in the face? Damn. Sorry to hear that.
  13. lol where does Flowers buy his April BABIP dust?
  14. good thing they brought in Vince Coleman. How about we make COMMON SENSE par for the course on the base paths. Goodness I don't give two f***s if Jose and Laroche are station to station. Get the guys that can run running. Get the guys that can't to stop getting thrown out at 3rd.
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 02:59 PM) It's a classic. He's bashing Robin for playing him, yet saying he would play him tonight in CF. Finally the post that puts you on my ignore. Took you long enough. You're the master of strawman arguments and I'm tired of knocking them down. If you can't see the difference between using a super sub with platoon advantages to give regulars days off over the course of the season verse starting him over your promising rookie (with no platoon advantage as well) in game 7 after an off day -- well f*** off.
  16. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 02:39 PM) That is clear to you through 3.7% of the season? Yes.
  17. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 01:58 PM) Since you posted this: what a luxury having a guy like Bonafacio is. Can play almost every position and hits well enough to where if you had to plug him in for a month it wouldn't be a complete black hole in the lineup. Seriously the difference between him and the guys they trotted out last year (Leury mostly) is probably 2 WAR. Can't say enough what an amazing job Hahn did fixing pretty much every weakness, including bench utility guy. This post has been edited by chitownsportsfan: Mar 13, 2015 -> 03:33 PM have you changed your mind? Now you don't think he should play against 80% of MLB pitching. His value is in giving every day guys a day off all over the diamond. In fact, I probably would have started him today in CF. Given Adam another day to clear his head. Clearly Ventura doesn't know how to use him and yea, it's frustrating.
  18. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 02:41 PM) He is, but didn't play against Milone or Duffy. Don't get me started. Sometimes I wonder WTH is with the relationship between the manager and FO of this club. It's like, they spent good money on Bonifacio and he's a valuable tool used correctly -- has anyone mentioned it to Robin?
  19. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 12:23 PM) Let's start a winning streak and take it to Detroit. This is a break out game for Abreu (2HRs 5 RBIs and 4 hits). Just a little tidbit about Avi: his updated ZIPS is now for over 1.1 WAR and he's already been worth .2 fWAR in 6 games. Most of that is baserunning and hitting but some of it his defense just being "bad" instead of "brutal". Keep it up kid. I love me some Avi hope he starts on the South Site for the next 5+ years.
  20. It's an imperfect metaphor at best given that most successful lawyers are great showmen. I'm not a fan of Robin the manager but it's not because of a lack of table pounding.
