  1. As alarming as the actual trade are Getz's public comments. Give me the smooth talking lawyerese of Hahn any day over this Jim Boylen like moron trashing players, admitting he has no clue, etc.
  2. I mean, other teams got the info, so if absolutely nothing else Getz has to get wind of that earlier and figure it out and commuincate to the fanbase. From everything we've seen it appears that Getz was ill prepared for this deadline when it's the only thing that really mattered since May. Again, that just can't happen. The focus had to have been on maximizing the returns, instead we've got some AAAA guy that might be a decent regular in a couple years and a couple lotto tickets that 1/100 might pan out.
  3. It's his job. I don't care what his story is. He has to communicate to Crochet's camp and square anything away. It sounds like from other teams that he got blindsided here. That can't happen.
  4. Chris Getz' tombstone will say "I lost 125 games in a year, but at least I didn't trade Tatis Jr"
  5. SO THIS FUCKING BUM DIDN'T TALK TO CROCHETS CAMP AND HAD NO IDEA HE WAS GOING TO BALK AT PITCHING WITHOUT AN EXTENSION? YOU HAD ONE FUCKING JOB YOU FUCKING IDIOT. GET RID OF THIS ASSCLOWN.
  6. You can sign 2 WAR players in FA when you're in your winning window. Anyways, I hope he gets hotter than s%*#.
  7. He's bottom third in literally every offensive stat other than chase and whiff rate. That would be fine if he was a defensive oriented CF or SS. But he's a DH/LF that hits righty. His xwOBA is .287. ZIPS thinks he's a 1.5 WAR player. We just traded for another borderline starter -- at best. It's such a stupid use of everything: opportunity cost being the biggest one. You shot your load on a guy that is he pans out is like a decent regular that is poor defensively and hits righty. Great, you've turned a 120 loss team into a 118 loss team. This isn't at all the type of guy we should be targeting, regardless of how you feel about him as a player.
  8. Has to hit to have value and poor statcast data indicating he's not going to hit are the two things Getz looks for.
  9. There all levels to this incompetence not even Picasso could envision
  10. His statcast is pathetic. Well below average in everything except chase and whiff rate. Poor athlete, bat doesn't pop. Doesn't have a real position. HE SUCKS. My god, f***.
  11. It's clear what happened is that Getz wanted to wait until the zero hour and instead of amplifying any trade it absolutely kneecapped him. What a fucking moron. You know Fedde only has a year and a half left of value. You know you HAVE to get rid of him and you've had all fucking summer with his value high. And then you pull this bullshit. I'm fucking done.

  13. like dog vomit you find in the morning after he got into the hot dogs.
  14. Vargas looks like a guy that can't field a position and can't hit and that is also not athletic. No wonder the Sox wanted him. I'm done with this team. f*** OFF.
  15. He's a 19 year old that is hitting for a 620 OPS in A ball. He's a throw in. Of course we threw in Tatis Jr, but come on.
  16. This guy Vargas is a fucking bum. Wow. Another unathletic addition that doesn't really have a position they can play at a MLB average level and that can't fucking hit either. Brutal. I'm ready to quit this team man.
  17. The moves Getz made on the margins of the roster and the decision to give a guy like Sheets another 600 PA, many of those in RF, suggest a guy that in completely over his head and that has no real plan other than throw s%*# at the wall and hope it works.
  18. it must really piss him off that owners that have spent money are making more money and that a guy like Cohen exists who is basically just here to have a good time, profits be damned. The league has changed. He's not in the same ownership circles as the 80s and 90s, in general the owners now are a different breed, and see themselves not as antagonists of the fans and players, but as partners.
  19. Then he doesn't want to win. He wants to make money first, winning is just incidental. He's also in his mid 80s and as we've seen at that age decline can set in rapidly. Who even knows how much capacity JR has to run the org at this point. I'd assume Michael and the partners are doing most of the day to day operations.
  20. Of course he would be. This pathetic p**** ass franchise can't fathom listening to outside voices that might ruffle some feathers. I don't mind AJ, he was a helluva player for us, and a solid commentator now, but FFS.
  21. Our bum ass GM is asleep at the fucking wheel as we head towards a 14 game losing streak. GTFO.
