Some people have forgotten what following a team and player every day for 162 is about. You're gonna slump at some point. As you said a good team will have other guys picking up the slack.

Sox remain 8th in wRC+ at 106 and 8th in position player fWAR at 9.2. The Dodgers and than the top 8 are starting to separate there. There's a big gap from the Dodgers (15.2 ) to 2nd (NYY 12.4) and then from 8th to 9th (Mariners 8.2). Defense for Sox remains slightly above avg since middle of May or so. 17th at -8.7 runs below avg. Up to 15th in pitching fWAR at 6.0. There's some underlying metrics that suggest pitching won't keep this up, but so far so good.

See 90% of the time you wade into one of these lower on the read list threads and it's two pollacks pissing on each other's leg. The other 10% it's a fire ass edit of a fun guy (not really a MLB player, but a fun guy) on a fun team. Win some lose some.

Does anybody know where to find catch probability live data? I'm trying to see if Nishidi made a solid or great play on that hooking liner by Lee. xBA was .490 FWIW, so probably just a solid play. I like some aspects of what Nishida can bring but he's superfluous on this roster given Hill is a way more complete player and you don't really need two backup CF let alone 3.

Think people just need to get used to the TTO era. The Sox are ahead of the curve here imo. Strikeouts and BA are secondary to ISO and OBP.

We're gonna have to get some nicknames we got two Montgomerys incoming. Outscored them 18-15 in the series and could have been more. Offense was excellent. SP came back to earth some and defense wavered a bit, but solid series and played better than 1-2 indicates.
