  1. His stuff is way too good to nibble.
  2. Just making this a watchable product night to night would be a small but giant improvement. On a side note, such a miserable day here, wish I was laying on a beach in PR eating a pincho.
  3. So 1/10 the total.
  4. Yea and with the added juice of his debut you don't really need any other variables that could contribute to injury or a poor start. Waiting around for the opening weather wise isn't ideal prep either.
  5. Weather is garbage here as well. Misery loves company. If the field and mound are wet I think we'd all prefer him to debut another day.
  6. slappiest bunch of slaps that ever slapped. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/luisangel-acuna-682668?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb
  7. He doesn't want the headlines of Sox cut their largest contract ever. He's a coward among other things.
  8. a 17th round pick. you can't make this s%*# up. trading any asset away for nothing while Beni still has a roster spot. Everybody in the org sees how the Sox do business. It's a depressing horrific work environment.
  9. The Sox have once again done the seemingly impossible: -.4 fWAR so far from position players, good enough for dead last. I can't even begin to say how dreadful that is coming off the prior two seasons. Not only have we made zero progress towards fielding a competitive team, you could argue that the team is in a worse position than it was entering 2024 -- even with the 1,1 luck. There's nothing to really trade, there's nothing in the farm that indicates we have the 30 WAR needed to get back to competitive and there's nothing indicating JR will cede control prior to 2029. Oh, and there's probably a lockout incoming. Great vibes all around.
  10. 6 runs on 7 hits for this team? Not bad.
  11. Schultz's stats are ridiculous in the small sample size down in AAA, I take it his stuff is elite right now?
  12. Cam got a few good breaks but he's taken advantage. That's what you need to win. Way more compelling than this White Sox crap.
  13. f***. in JR's land a .33% winning is HOF.
  14. If they get swept without scoring a run this series I'd probably just broom everybody monday morning.
  15. I haven't watched much more than a few innings a day but from what I can tell it's just a average defense at best. Chase and Mune don't have much range on the right side of the IF and Quero has been pretty bad. Fangraphs loves Colson's defense, 2 runs above average already, but we just have too many mediocre guys elsewhere.
  16. Well, I can't tell any father in Chicago or Chicagoland or Illinois how to feel so I'm sorry it's come to that for your fandom. And I'm sorry all of us have suffered so long under JR.
  17. The Sox enter the contest at -.2 fWAR from position players, good for 29th. They are tied for last in wRC and 25th in defensive runs saved. But hey, we're 12th in baserunning, a whopping .7 runs above avg! This is a really bad team what is arguably the worst in MLB for the 3rd straight year. Sorry folks, there's no sugar coating what a bad 1/10 of the season it's been so far.
  18. lol, what a stupid ass try for a double.
  19. these in game interviews are WORTHLESS
  20. "at this level it's all about winning that's why they sent down shane smith"
