It's super odd John is taking this series off.

Cliche but it's so much easier down the stretch when you're playing free and loose that far back. Athletics playing better too lately and they've been out of it since that stretch after the ASB.

Tigers fans and Mariners fans had WS aspirations and won't even sniff the playoffs without going on a 11 game winning streak to end it. So I'm going to try and enjoy these last two weeks. The Ramirez hand injury plus him just finally showing some age really hurt them. Probably the difference between where they are and being tied with us or a game or two ahead. That said, nobody is going to feel sorry for injuries as a Sox fan, our 3 WAR catcher missed basically the entire year and we all know the pitching injuries.
