  1. The mariners rushed Zunino and he never developed his hit tool a lick. If we go with Lackey we can't rush him. I'd like him get at least like 600 PA in the upper minors before even thinking about a call up.
  2. The Sox say Hays still has soreness in his calf and his rehab has been paused. As a middle age dude that strains a calf at least once a year doing something I feel his pain. Takes forever to heal and gotta baby it. Similar to hamstring.
  3. I hate to be a debbie downer but the performance against RHP is a bit alarming. We're a lefty mashing lineup but mediocre against RHP. Def helps when we get into pens.
  4. Over under on balls Beni rolls over to the 2B today? I'm going 2.
  5. After looking at this it appears just another metric that Fangraphs has improved on from BPro. BPro seems a few years behind on everything.
  6. Thank god. We've had so many damn pitcher injuries and setbacks. We could really use a boost come July if we're still hanging around and need some fresh arms.
  7. Mune as good as he is is just one guy and a 1B at that. We'd be way more fucked losing Colson or Davis. If we can get like 230/290/400 out of Gonzo for a month with solid defense we'll be fine.
  8. Much like Detroit only 2-3 guys that scare you at all in this lineup. Lets see what Sandlin can do his 2nd MLB start.
  9. We might use an opener but it's Sandlin's turn through the rotation. No word on a scratch.
  10. chemistry is always downstream of talent. chemistry exists, but it only comes from talented teams. chemistry never did crap for a dog crap team.
  11. Looks like Sandlin for us and Joe Ryan for them, who has been solid.
  12. The 2024 White Sox were also at 32 wins. 32-111.
  13. I try not to let recency bias play too much part for a draft pick but not a great end to his career for Roch and I do think there's some scenarios that work out for the Sox without him as the pick. That said, long way to go with interviews and workouts and for once I actually feel fairly confident this team we have knows what they are doing.
  14. Interesting tidbit from a Tigers fan: McGonigle played zero innings at 3B in the minors. Now Detroit has called him up and has him splitting time basically 50/50 between SS and 3B. In the opener he was supposed to cover 3rd on Nishida's bunt and failed, allowing Beni to score. Not putting players in position to succeed one way or another. We know that s%*#.
  15. This was entering today so go ahead and bump White Sox up to around 25%. Puncher's chance at this point. If we get everybody healthy (granted a rare thing) midsummer lookout.
  16. That's a jawline sharp enough to light a match.
  17. The propaganda is already pissing me off. Crying about how uncompetitive things are, oh give me a fucking break. You've got basically two clubs that spend and 28 other that adjust year to year. And when is the last time the Yankees won a WS? Dodgers do EVERYTHING well not just spend money. They scout well, draft well, develop well and so on.
  18. Swap Hays for Nishida ASAP. No reason to have a 2nd backup CF / 5OF type we just need a bat and Hays is proven league average or so when healthy.
  19. That would have driven me to throw something if I was a Tigers fan. Just managing off a spreadsheet and not watching. We had no chance until he was out.
