June 2nd Chicago White Sox @ Milwaukee Brewers GDT
Who cares?

June 1 game thread Sox @Milwaukee 3:10 first pitch
only took the dumbfuck manager 1/3 the season to realize who his better hitters are.

Schriffen says he was aiming at “Sportscasters”
I've watched 80% of the innings, most of them with the sound up. He's bad. Like most bad things in baseball he gets worse with the grind of an almost every night season.

Schriffen says he was aiming at “Sportscasters”
You serious? He has no idea what he's watching. He doesn't understand anything about baseball. He frequently loses track of the outs, who is on what base, what constitutes a good play, a bad play, a dumb play -- he has no idea. He's awful. The only thing he's good at is sucking up to Stone. Which has been a requirement on this job ever since Hawk left. Jason humored him but had enough of his own gravitas not to engage when Stone would get pissy. John does not.

The Death March Moves to Milwaukee: 5/31 Sox @ Brew Crew 7:10 CDT
As I said in the other thread someone close to him needs to intervene. It will get ugly for him if he refuses to acknowledge the overwhelming truth around this team and this season in particular.

I don't expect it to happen, but......
A lot of the show is like that. Arrested Development. A bit dated now but still hilarious and has given some of the best pop culture lines ("it's a single banana michael, how much could it cost, 10 dollars?") of the last 20 years from comedy shows.

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
John needs to be careful and someone in his corner should step in or it's going to get really ugly. He needs to start at least greeting the 600lb gorilla that greets him from the press box every night that is the Sox' historical ineptitude.

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
You could make an argument this team's level is more AAA or maybe Japan. They are on pace to finish with below replacement fWAR by a good 10-15 wins on the position player side. Sure Robert might help a bit, but you gotta be a special kinda dumb, even coming off a bad season, to produce that sort of smoking crater of a lineup.

He's lucky for the headlines pitchers no longer bat.

The Death March Moves to Milwaukee: 5/31 Sox @ Brew Crew 7:10 CDT
I said I was going to put a lot of the games on regardless but I might be reconsidering. The reality of having perhaps the worst team of all time on a nightly basis has hit hard.

that didn't take long.- Luis Robert right hip flexor injury
A novel concept would be listening to the coaching and training staff and not being "allowed" to just waive them off. Of course Robert didn't even know anybody's name last year on the staff so he's part and parcel of the problem. This should have been made clear to him long ago. Of course there's always the chance that Pedro just fucked up his statement here and there was like a chance he rehurt himself but Robert waived them off and said he was fine. - The Death March Moves to Milwaukee: 5/31 Sox @ Brew Crew 7:10 CDT
