  1. What a silly "dunk". You think the Sox knew? They had no clue either. A broken clock is right twice a day.
  2. Nah it's all "synergy". Not to be too cynical but the algo has us all at this point. These accounts are just part and parcel. Not that they are the genesis of it, they just pass it along and get paid.
  3. You are known as the master of analogies so how about gambling apps on the phone and advertised at parks and fields and arenas will do what vaping and e cigs did for that industry and ourselves: they will make us poorer and unhealthier but some people will get rich. I mean it's a free country and you have the right to slowly f*** yourself (or quickly if you'd prefer) but access is a thing and people WILL get hooked and suffer that would not have in a prior "you gotta go see a bookie or travel to ____" to bet era. There's too much money here and too much new ground not to have some sort of (hopefully not quite) cataclysmic event that happens eventually. I'm talking like someone getting shot or a player getting violent. Forget just the banal cheating, manipulating, conniving, someone will die at some point imo. And just to add I say this as someone that likes to place the occasional bet! I have my vices, but for whatever reason I can place a couple bets a year and call it good. Others cannot.
  4. Yea. We need to get our own house in order before hating on those guys. It used to at least be we had the better teams more often if if they were more popular. Well, what do we got now? Better ball park food? Christ.
  5. I think this kid could outhit Martin.
  6. Maybe, but it's more likely we're constantly down 2-5 runs and he's batting with nobody on. But, he's the only guy that even has a prayer at one for sure.
  7. It will be 162 games by the end of the year. A record that probably will never be broken.
  8. His top EVs are Robert like. He just needs to adjust to pitchers that can consistently throw their two best pitches for strikes. He probably didn't see much of that in the low minors and certainly as you said he needs reps.
  9. He could repeat AAA next year and still be completely on track to contribute in 2025 as a regular. I'm not too worried. Is he ATM a top 15 prospect in baseball? Probably not, but these things are obviously fluid and one stupid thing Hahn did get right is that progress it not linear, not usually anyways.
  10. Nah, I root for the CHICAGO White Sox. Not the Nashville Hot Chicken. They change the city it's over. I'll just watch Mariners games I guess.
  11. Shades of it for sure. Sad thing is that awful Bulls team had some talent. This Sox team, well, I dunno. Rotten all around.
  12. Not sure if low IQ but certainly a huge redass.
  13. I think this thing can go to 15, maybe even 20.
  14. Blame ESPN for not updating the standings quick enough. But thanks, we're even worse.
  15. Sox move to 15-44 with a -135 RD. They have scored the last runs MLB and given up the 2nd worst, only Rockies worse. They are back on pace to set both the all time loss record and the all time RD record. We also have now lost 10 in a row.
  16. We're currently at 10. Still plenty of time to get a 15 or even 20 game losing streak going.
  17. He has 4 pitches and they all seem to suck. Command as you said is also not good. Not much path to success with mediocre stuff and bad command.
  18. only took the dumbfuck manager 1/3 the season to realize who his better hitters are.
  19. I've watched 80% of the innings, most of them with the sound up. He's bad. Like most bad things in baseball he gets worse with the grind of an almost every night season.
  20. You serious? He has no idea what he's watching. He doesn't understand anything about baseball. He frequently loses track of the outs, who is on what base, what constitutes a good play, a bad play, a dumb play -- he has no idea. He's awful. The only thing he's good at is sucking up to Stone. Which has been a requirement on this job ever since Hawk left. Jason humored him but had enough of his own gravitas not to engage when Stone would get pissy. John does not.
  21. As I said in the other thread someone close to him needs to intervene. It will get ugly for him if he refuses to acknowledge the overwhelming truth around this team and this season in particular.
