  1. Clean slate, 3-3 locked in a duel with the similarly hapless Royals franchise. Clean slate!
  2. There's no do overs for the record. That's all that matters. Oh, and a bunch of guys are injured.
  3. I mean, anything that can go wrong eventually will. Right? RIGHT? What's next, a guy comes down with cholera after we play at Oakland...
  4. Hey guys Fangraphs gives us a 6.3% chance to make the playoffs. It's not over 'til it's over!
  5. Two must watch teams. Should be a real test.
  6. God we've had a lot of douchebags over the years. I never minded Youk too much but Swisher was such a prick.
  7. Tyler Flowers has 20 career fWAR. As they often do, the Sox gave up on him too early after basically turning him into a solid player. A once in a lifetime Sox development and they let him go just in time for him to turn in a few near All Star level years.
  8. I call it fake scarcity. It's the newest scam to jack up prices. We've mass produced everything too successfully. So now we have to give the illusion of scarcity. You see it in everything, from pizza to baseball hats.
  9. His approach has been an absolute puzzle ever since the Covid year. Dude sold out for average at the expense of power in almost literally every situation except when you want to try and put the ball in play with RISP. It's another coaching failure. We need to get coaches in these guys' ears.
  10. Hope is fine, but you can hope in one hand and s%*# in the other and see which one fills up faster. The stat was posted here that a team 13 under before May has never made the playoffs. So yea, it's OVAH.
  11. Today wasn't that depressing. Nobody, I mean, nobody, with half a sane mind things this club is going to go 30 over .500 and win 90 games from this point on. I don't know how some people manage to get so enraged still. This season is over. As I said, win like 10 in a row and maybe I'll get excited about things again.
  12. You can't play baseball like you play football. There is no help in a "sense of urgency". A "sense of urgency" is what happens when TA comes up with RISP. And that 'sense of urgency" usually results in a bad outcome. Baseball is about showing up every day, with the same mindset, and grinding each pitch, each AB, each fielding chance and each game and series out. This team's problems aren't something being better mentally will help much with anyways. This team has a severe lack of talent. We have some good players, but we have a lot of one dimensional players and absolutely zero depth as an org. More urgency from the FO in the off season is needed, not from the players on game day.
  13. I haven't seen that since Little League. Wow.
  14. The AL central will be able to field a regional All-Star team, like in Little League, come post season.
  15. I really want to like Sosa but he's one of the worst players we've ever had on the South Side.
  16. just win the fucking game.
  17. Eloy heating up. Hopefully he can hit the s%*# out of the ball and get a good haul in a trade.
  18. its 44 degrees? jesus.
  19. Beating the Twins never gets old. Get it done.
  20. That would be like a home less man's version of the Ray's and hell it might win 5 more games than this current Sox team.
  21. That's a good prompt. I think for myself I'd have to see like 7 in a row. Hell, make it 10.
