We'll take the ZIPS projection. Dan had us at 53. I can easily see 43-119. We're on pace for 36 wins so maybe I'm being optimistic. This team fucking sucks. Dan's entire writeup is worth the read.

Team looks like it's already quit imo. Our inability to find players with grit and managers that can motivate is a very big factor in why the team is so bad and will once again under perform the projections by 10-20 games.

We're just as bad as last year probably worse on paper. The problems in the White Sox organization are multifold.

Maybe. Sheets seems like a guy that because of his status is willing to try things that might be scary at first. He's always been a bit of an afterthought and had to hit his way up, even as a fairly high draft pick. Vaughn was just handed a started job and was never demoted or had to face the reality of losing playing time. We just keep trotting him out there and so he probably thinks well, why change anything? I don't think any other org would have tendered him. They would have tried to do some incentive laden deal at best with a team option or vesting options.

This team is one fire: through 17 games last year we are 2-15 -- this year we literally have 100% more wins at 4-13. Suck it Getz haters.

Imagine telling a Sox fan in 2021 that a month into 2025, Luis Robert would have a 440 OPS and 2 HR in his last 240 PA, Andrew Vaughn would have negative career WAR and the Sox, by the way, are coming off the worst season of all time.

I don't know exactly how much leeway we have with the IL for Lee. I guess that allows them some wiggle room for at least two weeks. So yea, get him up here.

Our catchers on pace for 6 fWAR. We should be getting something for one of them, if they DFA Lee to bring him up it makes no sense. Catcher is the least of our worries right now.
