Sox explore immense depth of their 7th place AAA team, make 11 transactions
Imagine being told a year ago the Sox would be 13 games under .500 on May 2nd and they would be promoting Billy Hamilton and Alex Colome to the big team.

5/2- Twins vs Sox, 6:10
Well at least Joe Kelly is finding the target off the field.

5/2- Twins vs Sox, 6:10
There's literally nothing they can do. Nobody is making trades this time of year and we have absolutely nothing in the high minors. This is a bad team that will continue to be bad to mediocre until July at which point there will be a fire sale.

Billy Hamilton Back
We're not even changing out deck chairs on the titanic, we're changing out urinal pads.

Reinsdorf Quotes
Are you fucking serious? This reads like an onion article of an out of touch billionaire owner. We are straight fucked. It doesn't matter if he fires Hahn, he'll find another clown.

Any help in the minors
If your account is under 30 days old, you can't make new threads. That's what I would do.

Let's bring this guy back, those glasses are back in style.

VAUGHN vs ABREU APRIL RESULTS
There's a lot of HS kids in those drafts we had high picks that are blowing up as well. Opportunity cost.
-
VAUGHN vs ABREU APRIL RESULTS
Vaughn is 44 runs below average defensively since he came into the league. That's -4.4 fWAR right there. That's amazing. And the Sox thought he was maybe an OF!

VAUGHN vs ABREU APRIL RESULTS
I really don't understand this thread. I mean I do, I guess, because Jose is Jose -- but Vaughn has not panned out how anybody would have hoped. When you draft a 1B/DH only type in the top 5 you sure as hell are hoping they can at least hit 30 HR a year and get on base enough to produce 2 WAR. So far, Vaughn has not done that. He's negative fWAR for his career. He's still young enough to where you hope with some adjustments he can hit more fly balls and the power will come, but comparing him with Abreu doesn't make much sense. It's not like the Sox hit a grand slam here. They were outbid by an actual good franchise on Jose, and his replacement still is yet to have a positive fWAR season. The joke is still on the Sox. The Astros can eat Jose's contract no problem if they need, and they have hung a couple banners in the last 5 years regardless.

Celebration of White Sox Excellence - MLB Season Leaders
I was curious if anybody had bested MB's 236.7 IP in a season since 2005. Turns out he didn't even lead the league that year. It was Livan Hernandez with 246.3 Since then, it's been bested half a dozen times or so. Although I do not think we'll see a 240IP season any time soon. The last one was in 2014 with David Price clocking 248.

No, next question.

VAUGHN vs ABREU APRIL RESULTS
He's not a good player tho. He's barely replacement.

That's a 7 runs in the 9th inning walk off White Sox Winner
I hope they get hotter than s%*#. But when they don't, fire Hahn.

4/30- Rays vs Sox VII, 1:10
Hey guys the bums we have in AAA are not any better than the bums we have in MLB. Carry on.

Which prospect failure from the 2016-18 rebuild surprised you the most?
Eloy. At least Robert is elite at a premium defensive position.

Giolito: “I hate losing…”
Lucas is one of the most likeable guys on the team and for the most part has performed. I'll be sad to see him go but happy to see him go to a team where he has a better chance of winning.

It's to get more velocity. I believe it is one of the core things drive line teaches. I believe it has to do with the arm speed generated by the mechanics they teach.

Of course you do, you have a lot of strident contrarian opinions. Healthy 25 year old on pace to play 156 games, something that's been done literally tens of thousands of times in MLB and you're all "nah, he needs more rest".

He's 25 years old. He SHOULD be playing every day unless he's hurt.

Ticket rep attacks fan for not renewing
Way things are looking, I'll be able to get a Sox dugout side ticket rows 5-10 or so for about 40-50 bucks when they come to Seattle. The Mariners look disappointing as well. I'll boo the s%*# out of the Sox: money well spent.
